[Halo] Oddball - Play Ball!

One of Halo's multiplayer objective game types is Oddball, a game where the goal is to carry around the ball - which is a human skull - for a set amount of time in order to win. Of course you have to do this while everyone else is trying to kill you to get the ball for themselves. This was one of my favorite game types when I started playing Halo 3 so I thought it'd be neat to commemorate the game with this prop.

The skull started as a hollow, all-black plastic Halloween prop. I removed the jawbone, which was articulated and attached with screws, and hollowed out the bottom of the skull and the eyes. A simple off-white paint job with washes of brown and black made it look much more authentic.

It's not much of a prop and it was easy to make but I'm happy with how it came out. I plan on making a nice little stand for it as well.

Sweet!! I've always thought about making this prop. You have to now add the neural brain chip on the base of the back of the skull!

Thanks! Do you have any pics of that chip? I didn't even know about it until I read up on the skull on the Halo Wiki yesterday and I've never seen it in the game so I'm not sure what it looks like.
