First off I want to thank so many of you for helping me through the past couple of weeks and giving me all of your info on my generally noob and random questions. People like Bovine13, blk n blu dream, dangerdavey, and mannowar just to name a few. I'm almost done with my suit and I"ll have a couple of more questions for you guys. I'm done with my bio helm for halloween and figured I would see what the pro's think about my amateur work.

Damn I like the bio. Did you clear coat the bio as well?

very nice, of course Hobbs liked that, he can relate to the paint scheme lol.

but it is a totally cool, original idea.

Yup! That's a nice looking lid with some bold paintwork. I'm not sure I'd have gone the same way with having the orange so bright, I'd maybe tone it down and metalize it, mix it with some copper and brown tones especially if I was to carry the idea through to the rest of the armour but it is a great concept nontheless.

If you didn't add any metallic metal colors on the bio yet. You can use this type of lacquer, I use too use this clear awhile back before I upgraded to the new stuff I use now. It's better then any other clears they have at lowes or home dept. Trust me I tried them all that come in a spray can and this one will give your helmet a pro look. I painted a P1 bio a blue metalic color and used this stuff to seal the paint And it came out looking really, really nice. I'll try to look for the picture. I remember posting it on the old lair a few years back.

Use three or more coats on the helmet and it'll look really nice. Now if you decided to add any metal colors on the helmet do not use this clear. It will dual the metal colors and make them look (silver) turns gray and (copper) turns brown.

Is that the wood kind?

Yes! Look for the exact can. Now for weathering it, dry brush some black in the battle damaged areas. If this is your first time weathering, Paint some thing else the same color and practice weathering that before you do paint the helmet.

You can also look at the helmets I finished up to help you a little, these can give you more of an idea. Also pauls thread also can help you out as well and scotts (The Mortal Immortal) also has bio pictures posted up. Also cassy (bio hunter) has some pictures posted up as well to help you out. There also a few others, just got to look around...

Yup! It will help blend in a bit more, it does make a huge difference, it's something I plan to do to improve my own Pred costume. You don't want to look like an unblooded. I kid, but I really like the design, it's organic but has an inorganic feel to it too.
