First time i went out with the HC Nike Mag with the steam toe box mod and i have to say that you feel the toe box when you wear it for the first time.
I went into an average by night and i have to say that it turns head about everybody that see them, i even had some people "how the hell he got the shoes from back to the future!"
I can't wait to receive mark's stickers to make them even more awesome !!

I think wearing my pair would make me feel super aware of people around me. I don't know if it would be good or bad. :lol

You're totally right, that's why i went into a place not full of people, forgive saturday afternoons, the best is to get out with your MAGs by night, it brings people attention with the lights of course, but make them more carefull too (for what i felt) even my kids didn't step on them ! xD

I bought a second pair of HC Mags to explore the possibility of doing the sole and heel LED mods. I dissected one, and while I could probably get the sole mods done, the LEDs are tucked away in a manner that makes them look like a pain in the arse to get to. I've decided to stick with just the strap mods and branding add-ons for now. My other dilemma is what to do with a leftover right shoe. EBay I guess?

How "dissected" is the other shoe? And given these don't cost that much, why not dissect the other and learn how to do the mods?

Dissected as in the cut the sucker completely apart because I couldn't figure out how to get to the LEDs in the heel. It was not as simple as Jedifyfe's video made it look, which I believe were an older version of the Mags. You can't easily access them from the outside of the shoe, you have to go in from the inside.

Then maybe you should have asked some questions first.
I recently dissected a pair of the V2 MAGs (the same ones Jedyfyfe shoes in his videos) where I completely removed the uppers from the sole which allows full access to all the electronics. I also removed the toe cap to make a "sock toe" which looks way better than the steam mod. My method does not cut away the extra fabric, rather fold and glues it underneath. I also added a tongue extension which is much easier to attach from inside the shoe.

These shoes are put together much stronger at the toe than the heel.
