Halloween 2011- What are you planning/ working on?

1930s era Buck Rogers. Trying to convince the wife to do a Wilma Deering from the same era.
The youngest boys will be Finn and Jake from Adventure Time! The oldest wants an Isaac Clarke, but he'll most likely change his mind.

Wanted to get these done before Dragon*con, but it just wasn't feasiable...will try to get them done before Halloween :p!

Here's my Jareth costume from a previous year. Not the same one you're planning to make, though.

This year I'm thinking Flynn Rider, from Disney's Tangled!

Gonna be The Dude with my brother as Walter the first night we hang out. Then the next night my buddy John is gonna be Macho Man and I'm gonna be The Ultimate Warrior. They were a tag team for a (very) brief stint in 1992 called "The Ultimate Maniacs", so that's the look we're going for.

I'm actually thinking now about doing The Blur from Smallville. It'll be recognizable, but still easy to put together. I'll probably throw in a Clark Kent Daily Planet ID, and if I can find any info on it a Red Kryptonite ring.

well its a bit late for me to build a costume now but my brother and i host a small amature haunted house every halloween. here is a video of last years

haunted house 2010 - YouTube

my brother recorded as my gf's mom was following. thats why my gf is laughing her head off

Wow halloween is on a monday so i CAN make a few costumes to wear around all weekend! Ok i'm workin on a reflective Tron at the moment, it'll just be a indar armour-type shirt with armor then black jeans and reflective tape on my boots. Then i wanna make a simple Conan with a sword. Then maybe Thor from Avengers just so i can yell around and swing my hammer lol. It'd be so awesome to do 3 costumes!

Depending on how my Mass Effect 2 Kestrel armor goes i'll be going Mass Effect. Will have to order pizza again.Last year for fun we orded pizza and i picked it up in my orca fursuit lol.

My ME 2 is the first armor/prop making i've ever done so i'm hoping it goes well and turns out ok. I'm not to sure if i know what i'm doing haha.

I have an Indy costume I discovered I can throw together (Local theater was showing Raiders of the Lost Ark on the big screen and I got the outfit thrown together - not accurate but definitely recognizable) so I have that as a back-up.

I can probably throw together a Jake Lonergan quickly too (western outfit with the 7-11 C&A cup/blaster)

I don't think I'll have time to get my comic-style Rocketeer together in time, as most of my energy is building stuff for my house for the trick or treaters.

i'll be going as Spartacus and my wife will be my Domina (Lucretia).
we are still trying to find someone locally who knows how to style a wig without screwing it up though as well as place some of the fabrics we'll need. but for the most part things are moving along quite nicely.

Hey guys, this is my first post in here. I'm planning on doing Steve Rogers from the final scene of the movie in Times Square. It started off as wanting to do a full-fledged WWII aviator in dress uniform with the A-2 jacket. Unfortunately, since my better half and I are saving for a wedding, I decided Steve would be much cheaper to do. Joined here because I was looking for some good resources, and liked the forum.

Anyway, I've got a good Illustrator file going on the SSR logo, but I'll keep refining it for the next few weeks. I need to find me a good t-shirt that fits me about the same as the one Chris Evans is wearing in the movie. Other than that, I'm just looking at trousers and a belt. Pretty simple costume, especially compared to my full-on Top Gun flight gear that I did one year. I'll have to post pics of that when I get a chance.

Planning on doing a couple this year, one for work and one for the big night. At work the plan is Dr. Horrible (Act 1), as it'll be easy to work in, and for those who will have no idea what it is, at least it can pass as a generic "mad-scientist". Mostly a "close-enough" for this one, as the wife has imposed a budget of $50. Need to sew the lab-coat, but have some reasonable boots (too short, but oh well), gloves are on the way, and goggles need to be modded. The BIG costume this year, if all goes well, is going to be Vader to go with my three-year-old's RotJ Luke. Not super accurate, as I'm wokring on the armor in Pep, and have some old soft parts I can recondition from more than a decade ago, as well as a DPCA lid which I need to sand, paint, and try to fix the flare on. Hopefully the pep will be done in time...

I'm working on a War Machine suit for myself and an Ultimate Iron Man suit for my 8 year old. He likes the cartoony style of UIM more than just reg. Iron Man.

I might be myself this year...that's pretty scary :p

Seriously though I'm not sure I want to dress up this year :S If I do it'll be my starfleet uniform...that I have to lose 40 pounds to fit in (I've slacked on my diet and exercise...oops)

Last year went to a party as The Green Hornet and my wife was Kato, some thought I was trying to be the Green Lantern.

Now that I am focusing in Ironman, for a party I plan to be Tony with his prototype replusor on one arm and the Arc reactor

Should simple, will post some pics when building it.
