I did a quick comparison of your drawing vs Dennis Gilliam's copy of the screenused panel (as well as a couple shots of the screenused panel):

As you can see, the actual prop is a little wider and squattier. Yours does match the typeface of the HAL 9000 logo very well.

Here's one I did a while back with a Kenko Fish-Eye. I scratch-built it with parts I had already, so some of the dimensions are off. But it does give you an idea of what the panel looks like using a Kenko.
