Hadley's Hope Colony Set/Wall/Aliens Hive Build

Works for me(y)(y)(y)
I worked it out. I used two strands to get even light, so I unplugged one just to see what it looks like and with all the diffusion foam I have in there you can't even tell. So it dropped in brightness by half. Looks just like the pipes in the movie now.

Been super busy lately sorry for not updating anything.

Short video showing the Colony updates.. Added another heat exchange pipe and now I have a TV back to honor the movie art director for using 100s of TV backs in the set of Aliens. Hive is still to come...

I haven't posted in a while because life has yet again jumped up and bit me. I have no idea if I will be able to finish this but I am giving it a try anyhow.

I have started to make the skeletal structure that the hive will be built on since there is no way I can build this in place I will build it on these frames and them just hang them back in place. The frames are not done yet.. it gets bigger.

Alright all the skeletons are up... now I have to take them all down and actually build the hive...lol

Quite the work you'll have for a few days:lol::lol: Walls and column will be easier than the ceiling:cool::cool:(y)(y)

I installed painted plywood on the studs so I could drill anywhere and get a good hold.

Also I found the piece is already too heavy for me to handle it while on a ladder so I cut it in half so I only have to deal with half at a time. Also I am buying a scaffolding platform to make this easier. I don't want to scale it back...

I'm just test fitting at the moment. I wanted to see if I could even handle it like this... let alone with all the organics on it.

Looking good(y)(y)(y) You're going to paint the ceiling...or something else for a finish?
Trying to avoid doing anything that would alter the actual house so far everything is just hanging on the walls or decoration. That plywood is probably the most permanent installation I've done so far like the corridor section is only held on there with four screws
