H & K MP-5 Gun ship

What tool do you use to panel line? Mine broke and im looking to replace it.

Amazing work btw.

I did used a sharpened steel needle because this toy guns are
made of Polypropylane(PP). It's the hard stuff to scribe a clean lines.

My friend pro builder told me to use Exacto knife with a cutting face upward.
This may good for the usual Polistyrane.

Thanks !

Thanks for looking and I'll be happy to hear your comment.:lol

Katsu,

Outstanding! You're work is inspiring.

Could you explain how you created the gauges? It looks to me like you coated clear plastic with black paint and then etched out perfectly hand-drawn gauges with a blade? Maybe you should have been a surgeon ;)

Thank you very much for your comment.

The gauges are made of three layers of sheet plastic.
Lower one is a 1.5 mm thick white sheet painted with mat black.
middle one is a 1.0 mm clear sheet(I used a clear DVD case) and upper one is a 0.5 mm sheet as a face plate. Both middle clear sheet and face plate were drilled some circle holes for dials. The holes for square display was cut away only from face plate.

I scribed the circles directly on a black plate using a face plate as a template and then scribed gauges with freehand in it. For the gauges in the square display, I scribed directly on the clear plate. It makes the square gauges looks different(like the CRT display).

I've tried several ways but above was the most simple and effective one.

I used the sharpened needle-like tool to scribe as you see in the pics.

It was not so difficult than you think. Probably you can make it better than me for sure.:lol

Thanks.

:lol Thanks for the vote of confidence. I love how brightly your dials light up! Keep up the good work and thank you for the details.
