Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3

How many end credits were there and what were they? I know spoilers but, I don't care about knowing. So, if someone were to share I would really appreciate it. Thanks
And I was going to see it yesterday but my cats really sick, like a trip to vet Monday and one this morning sick. So, I appreciate the heads up on the warning about that in advance.
There were just 2 end credit scenes with images from the fist 2 movies and the Holiday Special sprinkled throughout the credits.

The first scene shows some new members of the Guardians on some unnamed world while they discuss their favorite classic Earth singers and their songs.

The second scene involves Peter's grandfather. But I don't want to spoil any more than that.

I can't really go into any more detail on the end credit scenes without spoiling some big plot points in the movie itself. If I were to go into more details I'd be spoiling a lot of the movie for you.

Can't believe there are folks complaining that Groot talked at the end of the film

Groot talking was for you,.....it means that You, like Gamora can now understand him, You are part of the Guardians family

I'm guessing we see Groot again, and this will be the norm going forward perhaps. Might be awkward as you would hear what he said and another character will have to say what he said to other characters that do not understand him. I guess they could make a bit of it... Groot: "That guy sucks". "what did he say"? "Oh he said you have a nice smile."

I came home & felt guilty leaving my dog Doug on his own while seeing the film with my family @ JOATRASH FX
Glad you had the same experience as me

Also, did you see Gunn’s May4th message?

I saw it! (replied to it too, but JG gets so many tweets he'll never see it.)

Just got back from my second viewing. Man, it was, if possible, emotionally harder to watch this time around.
Rocket's scream in that scene cut right through me.

No film is 'perfect' but this is one of the most beautiful pieces of cinema that I've ever seen (and not just visually).

Yeah, the music didn't grab me as much as the other films either. Even the score didn't use the Guardians theme nearly enough, which I was bummed about. Still, some wicked needle drops though. Adam Warlock flying through space to Crazy On You and that No Sleep Till Brooklyn sequence in particular.
Interestingly, the songs worked better on my second viewing!(But they don't beat out Vol 1 or 2. Neither does the score, because the track titled "Dad" in Vol2 is hard to beat.)

The Beastie Boys action scene was on par with any other action scene in the MCU... .and more fun to watch than 99% of any action scenes outside of maybe the John Wick movies because it was so very thought out and planned! If not for the sheer scope of it, I'd almost say it beats the finale of Endgame because it was so clever.

Can't wait to see it again, my daughter who had seen all MCU up to & including Black Widow & was disappointed with BW & had vowed never to see another Marvel film has agreed go with me & my son to see GOTG 3...she trusts me!!!

In my opinion, Guardians 3 is the best pst Endgame MCU sequel so far. Dr. Strange was weak, Love & Thunder was kind of meh, and Wakanda Forever was ok but not great. But Guardians 3, in my opinion, blew all of them away and was probably better than Far from Home too, it may even be the best post-Endgame MCU movie period and I really enjoyed both Shang Chi and The Eternals.

I do think it is a bittersweet ending.

I don't think Gamora was starting to have feelings for Peter at all. I think it's only that she started to appreciate what the other Gamora might have seen in him, and that's a different thing. Where the original Gamora had found a family in the GotG, this one clearly just found that with the Ravegers and that bond is apparent. Barring unusual circumstances I think it is unlikely this Gamora and Peter will hook up. The bitterness is that what might have been is truly lost. But that is OK.

Only real disappointment is Star-Lord never wore his helmet, or got a more comic accurate one to go with his new suit for that matter. What the heck? And what happened to his boot rockets? Those would have been handy during a certain scene near the end.
Just saw a couple of tweets from Gunn that addressed the items... He said the first one was left in his desk on Knowhere, due to the haste in which he had to leave. The second he said, were unwieldy & were replaced by Peter after the first film with the packs that Rocket invented.

Yeah, I saw that today. Not necessarily convinced that isn't just some BS he whipped up to explain away this pesky question people keep asking him haha, but whatever I'll buy it. Either way, it's such a practical piece of gear for Peter I find it impossible to believe he doesn't have another one somewhere. Just odd he wouldn't have a spare on The Bowie..? Seems like he just omitted it from Vol. 3 specifically to have the dramatic scene at the end.

Hoping the next time we see The Legendary Star-Lord, he's got the helmet back, or even a new one that's even more comic accurate. I'm only mildly attached to it...it's not like it's my favorite helmet design in any movie ever :p

Saw it again last night. It seemed a bit less disjointed and random, and the music worked a little better for me. In the long run, I still like Vol. 2 better. I hope they include the holiday special as a bonus feature for the video release.
