I think the DC Direct ring is closer to the right size for my middle finger. I already have one ordered. But I still can't wait to get my TRU rings later this week.

Picked one of these up today, pretty nice for the price. I'll definitely try my hand at modding it.

I'm glad to see everyone is finally getting these - guess TRU just needed time to get them in stock in all stores...
The faux nicks in the green is pretty horrible. I'm excited to see the DC Direct replica ring. But as said, for ten bucks, it serves the purpose. To think, less than a year ago I was so worried about weather we were going to get a replica movie ring....and now there are so many to choose from!

The faux nicks in the green is pretty horrible.

Yeah, that's the one thing that I noticed after taking it out of the bag. Maybe a quick black paint wash will "haze" the plastic a little, making it seem more stone-like and giving the nicks more depth.

Modding it is fine if you want to do it for the fun of it, but if you're end game is to just have a screen accurate replica, might as well buy the $40 DC Direct replica ring when it is released next month. No mods to make there!

i modded one of my rings a few days ago and heres how it turned out:

i took the ring apart but in the process i chipped the edge of the jem in the middle so i went to michaels and couldnt find any round ones so i got some that are kinda pointy but i like they way light reflects off of them. if you can tell, i also lined the metal band with crumpled up tin foil and finally, since the green part was hollow and cheep looking, i filled it with e6000 glue and stuck it on so that it takes away the hollow plastic look and makes it apear to be a solid peice.

the ring is more green than it apears in the pics, for some reason it looks more teal than it is

Yeah I usually avoid those sections as well, but from time to time I have looked for stuff there and get the usual looks. "Is he making himself a pretty, pretty bracelet?" :lol

Haven't got mine yet, but I will probably leave one as-is. But I hope to improve one of them. May even try to light it up.

Yeah, I couldn't really find a more accurate one but it dosent really matter cuz I'll be getting the dc direct for a proper replica. This ring is more for fun than anything else to me.

For those who ordered from the TRU website, did your oerder status ever change on their site? I ordered mine on the 20th. It says it will be delivered between the 24th and the 27th. But under order status it still says "Item(s) located in stock". I expected it to change to "shipped" status.
