my v3 came in today! all i can say is amazing!! i bought a almanac off ebay a few months back because i dragged my feet on the v2 run and missed out... (same with the train shirts,,,well no more missing out now, when ever mark posts ill be sure to purchase that same week) anyway... i bought the almanac off ebay it came from germany and he has many of them listed, came with a 2015 receipt and a blast from the past bag... he put this all in a non bubble wrap envelope and the thing came bent.. i noticed right off the back the grey color is more purple then grey... i looked on his ebay site and the cover clearly isnt what i got... anyway i let it go. i have been a ebay member for 14 years, ive only filed 1 claim and it was a chinese knock off northface i got instead of the real one pictured... anyway it was such a pain in the ass to file the claim i dont want to go through it again

so i opened up marks today and right away said "THATS IT!! THATS WHAT ITS SUPPOSE TO LOOK LIKE!!" check out the comparisons

the german ebay one is even smaller!!! complete garbage compared to marks!

i dont even want to take marks out of the wrapping it looks so good!! i was even surprised that marks came with a 2015 receipt!! that was nice! anyone have any suggestions on what frame to buy to frame the almanac? or what they used to mount it inside? i want to find a shallow shadow box, that i can put it in... i was thinking maybe using the clear L brackets used to hold bathroom mirrors to the walls to mount the almanac inside.. but i think the almanac is too thick for that to work

any ideas?

All of markpoon's almanacs have a silver background from the beginning (v1). That's one of the most important features of his almanac, that no other replica almanac has.

this almanac is now the most accurate replica out there, in my eyes its perfect. check out the POS i bought on eBay... the damn thing is 3/8th of a inch too short... and purple... yes the cover is purple...


to all the people who bought the oh la la cover, anyone find a nice magazine to use as a filler? i want to put both these in their own little shadow boxes. but i have to find a book to put the cover on.

right now i just have it protected in a comic book sleeve lol

Thanks for your reply, I think I also bought one of the purple ones in desperation and was gutted when it arrived so I will definitely get one of Mark's. If you wanted to fill the oh la la with something authentic I think you can still find some old 50's glamour magazines on eBay for a few dollars and these are very tame by today's standards, but that is up to you. That's difficult. "Profiles in History" stated in their auction 2011, the "Oh LàLà" has 28 pages. My replica a few years ago had 32 pages, because I found so many different page combinations (order of the pages) at the screen used magazines, that 28 pages weren't enough.

That's too much. 32 pages = 16 sheets. Or even just 8 sheets (if one sheet has four pages and is folded). Minus markpoon's cover.

Mark your listing shows a screen used almanac with the gap at the top is bigger than your v3 but it has another screen used picture but comparing the two they are not the same almanac. They don't have the same wear marks.
