door isn't too heavy. It's real solid though and it opens pretty easily. my kids are 3 and 5 and they can open it.

Oh, man those are the ones our own Blufive made..SUPER ACCURATE! You are right the other ones out there are shameful. He did the run a long time ago. His sculpt was spot on.

BTW Vash and all the other HIC builders, you have been a great help to me, it was hard to stay motivated since I was a victim of the bad deal on these HIC parts, but after almost a year of pestering I finally got mine. hopefully Mattydog comes through for everyone else.

I also gotta give some props to Tom for getting the whole carbonite furniture movement going, his piece is a TRUE work of art...I'm not even in the same league. His work had definitely inspired some out of the box thinking and design.

oh and my casa is always open for a good ol fanboy party! Some of the DFW and OK peeps have been by...we have some great collectors and venues in DFW though. speaking of which prop party 2010 is coming and I still won't have anything good to bring. maybe I can bring a pic of my shelf

ya know, I'm really lucky that my wife is cool. she's not into the whole movie prop/SW thing, but she's definitely cool.

I kinda eased into it..we knew we wanted a door, more storage...I came up with a clean design that doesn't look too bad. Once she saw Han on there even she admitted "that is pretty awesome"
