goodbye eureka :(

Hope the Warehouse 13 fans are bracing themselves for the network to screw that show over, it's going to happen.

My wife really likes Warehouse 13 and I keep on reminding her that it's probably close to reaching its end because of SyFy's 5 year policy. This season makes 4 for Warehouse 13 so at best we can expect one more season from them; hopefully the producers are aware of this and have a plan for ending the show either this season or in season 5.

Well, Kevin no longer has autism, but other than that, not much. They could have done more, like bring back Nathan Stark.

Yeah, I'm irritated Nathan Stark hasn't come back and that the Artifact which was so important for the first two seasons has had nothing since then.

I am in season three right now and wondering that exact thing. "What in the hell happened to the 'artifact'?!"

I am just SUPER happy that they have Zoe in the last episode! I've been saying for months that if she doesn't come back in the last bit I would be so sad!

I don't think many of the actors will have issues moving on to other places. Felicia /obviously/ will be set for life and Kavan is such a great actor I doubt he'll find issues in the near future finding work!

I certainly hope the cast doesn't have trouble finding work but it probably won't be as a lead on another show for most of them. Just think of the Treks from TNG to Enterprise, with the exception of Patrick Stewart have you really seen much of any of the leads since their shows ended? Another example is the cast of the Stargates, except for Amanda Tapping in Sanctuary and Shanks occasionally on Smalleville don't seem to have been on TV all that much since their shows ended and only Amanda seems to have landed herself another lead role all of the others do guest roles at best. Sad to say but genre actors, at least as far as I've seen, don't seem to have a very good track record of getting regular roles on other shows once theirs end. Having said that I would be more than happy to be proved wrong and see most, if not all, of the Eureka cast move onto other shows or movies that are not SyFy originals.

Jonathon Frakes apparently prefers directing. I've seen him listed as the director in tons of things the 5-10 years. Still, the point remains, they do rarely land starring roles again. And it's not like Skiffy pays their actors top dollar either - meaning they're not turning down roles because they don't need to work.

Which probably explains why you often see them featured in some stupid SyFy original. To me, nothing smells more of desperate for work actor than someone who stars in most of SyFy's original movies.

Back on topic, I thought this weeks episode seemed like a multi-arc week compressed down to 1. If so, i'm fine with them cutting down the six week finale.

The hand in the screen was just some random NPC from the hive mind thing? They already did that aspect of it, no need to do it again. Though I think it would have been more effective woven in the other episodes over a period of weeks.

Looks like a wormhole in the GD entry in the finale'. Will the cross time liner's return to whence they came? More likely, it'll prove the need for GD and they'll go from there and some will leave and life will go on.

:lol

The whole "I thought we had 6 weeks to wrap it all up" stuff was CLEARLY a SLAM against the ****tards at the Syphillis channel and I bet they didn't even get it.

Probably not, just like they're "Thank you" at the end of Farscape which totally pissed off the fans.

Love this show, definitely going to miss it. On the plus side though, at least they're auctioning many of the props publicly, and I'm picking up as many as I can afford. I wonder where the practical 'Martha' drones went? I would really like to find one of those!

Knowing skiffy, even though they have no plans for it, they'd hold it for a kings ransom before letting it go.

That's more like Fox. In general, most other networks have no interest in genre shows like Eureka.

Although it sucks that SyFy used the 5 year plan on Eureka at least they got enough notice to write a decent/proper series finale. That's certainly better than other shows on SyFy have gotten, pretty much every other show on SyFy gets their cancellation notice gets their notice when they've pretty much have finished shooting for the season or far enough into the season that it's too late to write a new script to work as a series finale.

New to this TV series. Mot much of a TV watcher anyway, but I found the premise interesting and am looking forward to seeing the rest of the series. Hey! six season in the TV world is a home run.

Think of it this way... they got six seasons out of a concept from 10 second station ID spots. Remember those? They ran a bunch of them and they started out as Science Fiction but kinda melded into fantasy...

They actually only got 5 but were promised a 6 episode season 6 but SyFy mysteriously changed their minds at almost the last minute.
