Gladiator 2 in works by Ridley Scott

Although I was pumped when I saw the trailer on YouTube…but saw it again as a trailer before Deadpool & Wolverine…… just not really enthusiastic about this anymore

I'm starting to avoid trailers as they are just giving away too much. With this they pretty much gave away the whole story.

Also I think they are going to say this is Maximus' son and that is bull. He had not seen her in many years and their children were the same age. He wa suprised to learn her son was the same age as his. There was no indication of anything, plus her husband was a friend of his, and that would make Maximus a piece of crap, and it is total B.S. if they do it.

There was one other problem. What was it? Oh yeah, Maximus is dead so WTF is the point???? If there was ever a movie that did not need a sequel this is it.

They also re did the kids appearance with CGI to match the Luciuos actor now at then end of Gladiator which is stupid and pointless. He also claims he does not know his mother or father, which is non sense.

I really have a Love, hate, hate, hate relationship with Ridley Scott.

Frankly, I'd rather watch a lot more movies from George Miller than 1 more Ridley Scott movie. At least one of them can create compelling stories - the other is just straight up boring and seems more into technical gimmicks and striking visuals.

True dat.

The funny thing about Ridley's directing is that he sort of aged wrong. His work had a steady experienced feel when he was 30-40 years younger. But his newer work is prone to feeling flashy or undisciplined.

I wonder what Miller would do with 'Alien'.
