Very sad news never met him but heard a lot of good things about him from various people and “Dead” crew members.....

For years, I've seen him pretty regularly having lunch at Farmer's Market in LA, and he was always very friendly and approachable. I'm sure 99% of the people who recognized him were Walking Dead fans and called him Hershel, which he as a great sport about, but he seemed overjoyed when I mentioned that I recognized him as Scott Crossfield in The Right Stuff.

Walking over to Farmer's Market will never be the same again.
