Well I did some measuring today and my work bench is almost 4 foot tall and I stood her up again and have pics of this and I kinda made her take a step to check her hip and leg size and she looks alright the bench does make her legs look short they are 3 foot tall now when you count in the pelvis that gets her leg into perspective her hight is 4 foot 9 1/2 inches tall so she is right at 5 foot tall so she is good to go and I will consider this when I build Chloe so got some arms glued up and got some fore arms cut not much else done but spending time with a 3 year old grand boy and a 11 year old grand boy loved it here is a shot of today's progress.

Okay Guys, not much done today. I did some painting on her legs and this kinda makes a bit of a show on how she looks, and anything that is out of portion I will apply all this to Chloe in this build which I will share with more break down of the process, I still got some arms to shape and really been studying how I will do the hands. The hands will be many parts and I will make both hands at the same time or as I go Yep gave my eyes a break today well I cheated a bit by doing some painting this was just a rainy gray day as said I think the painting her legs made quite a diff on how she looks as said she stands at 4 9 1/2 and thanks for your imput on the leg drawing I love to draw and airbrush as well as all other forms of art Thanks for all your likes and comments back to the shop in the morning and I hope I can get some progress pics Thanks

it is a common comic book method. in that sample pic, the legs are like 1.5-1.75 the lenght of head/torso. some drawing guides use a "head" scale instead - for width and height. What Kermet is doing is likely more proportional - that is why it looks odd to us. the androids/robots we see are done on either a heroic or super-heroic scale, with unrealistic proportions - but appear more appealing to us.

Yes that is right on, if you look at the pelvic Of Amie the top of her leg really starts at this point not at the socket that would be her hip or pelvic. And that is right about that kind of drawing longer sleeker figures. Okay a whole lot of nothing but some paint work this kinda helps her look a bit and I did a tape measure next to her to show her scale and light her eyes next time I lay her on the bench got some soldering to do for all her off and on switches which she will have two with a battery pack still thinking on this one did some cutting on her arms and went on a hand parts hunt and that for me can involve a bunch of time but here she is today thanks for the comments and likes Amie is almost here Thanks Enjoy

Thank You George for your interest, as well as your thoughts big heart. Well Okay, I did a bunch today but my wife is updating my phone so I am stuck with the pics which I have but will post these here later when ever this gets done. I have her upper arms ready to attach but I think I will do the complete arm before attaching, I almost have one arm less hand but I am really thinking on this part I kinda see it where I am on it but for some reason I seem to be rethinking the lower arm upper arm is cool just lower arm well I will do more cutting on this but man you cant put back what you cut away. the hands are coming with parts starting to gather and I keep looking at her toes really not happy with this part her foot looks cool; just those toes well these are things I can adjust on Chloe I have come to notice I need to slow down and finish each part and make them crisper cleaner sanded more. All this will be done on Chloe this is why I am making two you CAN embody the best of two worlds. Thanks Guys

Well you recall the part when I said you can put back what you cut away well I wasn't to happy with her fore arm so I added some material now I might have something working out but that put the breaks on the arm build so I messed around on some finger concept and came up with a movable finger and kinda been thinking of her hand parts a hand has many parts but here's a bit of my messing around Amie is almost here Thanks for the comments and likes

Well Okay, a very busy day mowing but the added fore arm material gluing complete and cut another finger and got all fingers ready to cut as well as started to cut on the fore arm and got visited by a new born granddaughter the only one all the rest are boys bout to have 7 boys one girl very enjoyable afternoon and did do a bit but had to blow off dust and grand kid time after that did some studying on the fore arm part and like how its turning out will show this next post had to rest my eyes but still cheated also studying on how the hand will attach dub ball socket don't know but the hand is very movable and the way the thumb attaches its kinda part of the wrist as well well back to the shop in the morning and cut some stuff Thanks

Yep rite, I sometimes get on a roll and for get to take a breath comma or something rite. Well man what a day, felt like a blender day I was all over the place. I had to finish yard detail, and robot in the pool empty robot, then get robot out of the pool, wow. So I study'ed the concept of the arm and the hand falls about mid thigh and I don't want her to have stubby arms so this is on going thinking but did manage some work so here is some pics. Amie is bout here Oh this wall everybody gets to write or draw anything they want .

Well there you go I am taking my time on these parts still more shaping, as i get close to the wrist I keep looking at how I am going to attach her hand. and as you can see a bunch of fingers to get cut. As i am still really studying her bicep might be a bit to long, I will have to stand her or lay her down to see how her arm fall don't need any squatch arms. I will dry fit parts before final gluing. Yep I will take another pic of the art wall as well as the squatch wall its kinda covered a bit but you can see him, a bit of my airbrushing.Back to the shop in the morning no distractions will get a bunch done Thanks

Yep you are rite George, and Thank You, you have followed the whole build, and as far as that goes very much glad. Well did I say the word distractions MAN I will not say that word again, that is all today has been And Happy Labor Day! Well I did get some promised pics and only thing I got done was some finish work on the one fore arm just want to see how its going to turn out before I start the other and it looks fare. I am waiting on any more material removal on the wrist area still thinking on the hand connection, I am thinking of ball joint as well. so still wrist work to do but saving material before moving on at least till I get somewhat of a hand. This part will be a dub socket and smaller ball and will be two as for dub the thumb is part of the wrist some what it also connects to the hand, as you can see I am still thinking this out. Well Guys got a bunch done and I am going to have to cut her bicep down just a bit to long got her wire extension all soldered up just got to figure out how this wire will run yep have to re cut a part to much torque on the ball but no problem, busy busy day no body bothered me in the shop all day long, Well more to come another day in the shop. George Thank you very much, and you are right on every project is for sure a adventure. You know I will be starting Chloe here soon, but before Chloe I have a client project standing in the way I will share this project of adventure here if you look at some of my pics with her on the stool you can see a old clone wars walker well in Star Wars Rebels when they went to find the old clone troopers and found Rex on the flats and they used Zeb for bait to worm fish this is the project going to do him a setting of them worm fishing. Then Chloe but I will be cutting parts and sharing that getting parts and material ready. Well Enough of that and on to Amie man we are so close Amie is just about complete. Today got her arms done but with out detail work, and not apply'ed I also got her head a bit more forward which was mentioned in one of the post and I agree she does look better. Also I have a hand in the making, this will take a bit still thinking this out, the finger was just a experiment that worked, and I like when that happens. with this working I will continue with these parts. Wow enough of that as well as said Amie is close Thanks and Enjoy

Okay Guys,really two failed days I am kinda stuck on this hand. I have a ideal but got to build some socket balls. So I did some finger cutting done after a day of running. The knuckle will be ball socket hook up for the finger then the knuckle will attach to a lower part of the hand this is where the thumb will attach, Man a lot of attaching, but will make a segmented hand and will look cool done got her wrist thought out as well, so just got to get some parts gathered and get Amie some cool hands that can be placed into any way you can think of make her holding a gun, I thought and still might make her a arm attached small mini gun that would be magnetic attachment to her fore arm something to ponder. Amie is very close Thanks Enjoy

This last pic here was just a thought wont work a bunch of time just looking at it trying to get it rite and now I think I might have it, we shall see back to the shop in the morning early with a cup of good coffee and make her some hands. Thanks Very Much for all the likes and comments

For Sophie's non-robotic hands, I took the 'Jointed Hand' by bq3D and scaled it down by about 20%. The finger parts are very small and benefit from being printed on a raft (to prevent warping at the base) at fine or extra-fine (0.06mm) resolution. This way the internal channels are better...

Thanks George for sharing that, yes I do like that type of hand. I seen a cool hand on tested with Norm and it worked very cool hand. As always I try to over think it or over do it but this time I want to kis it Keep it simple. I also am really thinking up the hand and I need some 1/2 inch hard balls to do it and yes I need 10. This hand will be fully articulated, the knuckle will hold the finger balls. Well Thanks George for the Imput much needed. Today I changed the finger joint with some bike links and these are perfect got four fingers done and four more fingers to go, as well as some thumbs. Amie is almost here Thanks and Enjoy

Can almost see a hand there, well it wont be long now as the monkey said when he got his tail caught in the fan. Back to the shop in the morning and get some more fingers hooked up and start getting the knuckle parts designed,as said Amie is almost here. Thanks
