Believe it or not, I am thinking about it even though I'd rather build a Striker Eureka suit

Got a lot done. I cut out the visor so I can see out of it and I cut out a section from the back of the head so I can wear it. Its a tight fit and definitely not comfortable to wear because of the fiberglass cloth, but with more work done, it'll be fine.

I did a bit of sanding on the inside of the helmet to make it fit better, shown by the painters tape. But the helmet is still painful to wear, especially on the ears. Is there a quicker way to make it comfy to wear or am I reduced to sanding the whole inside? The helmet barely fits as is

Would thin foam work? Padding might make the helmet too small to wear. Its already a tight fit as is

I wasnt able to get any work done today, but I did stop by O'Reilly's and picked up some body filler. I have all the ingredients for the next few steps. I might need to buy more 320 grit sandpaper for the filler but thats easy

You will have to try out what works best for you. I wouldn't go too thin...

Thread isn't dead. This process has been painfully slow. The patience of a saint is pretty much required to not start rushing. I've spent the last few weeks sanding the outside before putting body filler on the outside and I've only finished about half of the helmet. I still have a LOT of work to do. And I hope to start my next project, which will be an Iron Man Mark 4 or 6 out of cardboard (If I can find the foam file). Here is my progress so far on the helmet
