after many years reading silently threads here i have registered to show you my first project in paper that will be fibreglassed. Over the years i learned here a lot about unfolding models its impressive what can be made out of paper, cause i've learned here so much i will give something back.
The model i currently working on is the USS Enterprise from the 2009 Star Trek Movie and Into darkness when its completed i will post the .pdo(pepakura),pdf and .stl files for everyone who want

the size will be 1:500 from the official scale

146,2 cm (57.56 inch ) in length

das isht gut... sorry if i butchered that... very cool though, subscribed and looking forward to more.

So far right i understand you metal wood :) thanks for the nice replys here
I will work as quick as i can to show you more

my plan on glassing was : build the paper models with supports, coat the paper with epoxy , from the innerside fibreglass mat and epoxy and then sanding sanding sanding :D its not my first model but the first made 100% by me

Very eager to see how it works for you and its progress. Do continue this thread. The introductory photo is nothing I've seen before. Fascinating!

Good luck!
:)

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Will you be adding lighting as well? The model should turn out to be pretty huge so I'm kind'a hoping to see the spinning Bussard Collectors inside the nacelles all lit up too! :D

This is gonna be awesome!! Subscribed!

For sure lighting will be build in , i haven't thought about spinning bussards but sounds like an great idea i think you'll see the spinning bussards :)

I loved the flat Kelvin saucer, but Kelvin-type Enterprise designs might look better if the NX-01 refit secondary hull were attached to a Kelvin type saucer.
The NX-01 refit has nice staggered nacelle suports, so cranked nacelle supports might allow for a very wide, flat ship that looks like the TOS Enterprise--but keeping a more antagonizing stance.

Hope it wasn't the wife leaving you because of the giant enterprise in the living room. (Cool project btw, I'll be watching.)
