Big? Yeah, I realize some of you guys out there are pretty big so I'm making stuff to accommodate. IN the future I may scale down to my own body proportions.

Projects? Let's see

Swords, backpack and sheath is next. The only thing slowing me down is the haunted house stuff which is still not complete. Gotta get that done and paid
then mentally i can move on. Those damn giant skeleton hands aren't drying at the finger tips so its dragging out the project. Still got 2 of these guys to make.

Gauntlet Blade - with plasma discs, animatronics - got all the parts. Again my brain is clogged up so I can't move an inch anywhere physically in my studio or my brain.

Bone Jaw attachment - someday

Anyway my priority is getting the latex hands done for the haunted house then I can really devote mental energy on the rest of the projects.
 
mike for the hands- dont fill the tips, just do a slush then stick a fan into it. let em dry a bit then slush again. do it in small increments and you shouldnt have any problems with em drying.

oh and, HOORAY FOR BACK AND SWORDS!!!!!!

Yeah thats what I'm doing now - just slushing and dripping it out until a thin skin is formed. Learning it the hard way! Now I just got a fan blowing in it forever

Yes swords- I'm kicking myself in the butt to make it. Also trying out some super hard automotive clay so I don't ding it in the molding process.

Haha - I would say Hot Toys is an inspiration source. Their "making of" pictures of Senor Berserker's back pack is seeping into my brain mixing with my previous ideas
evolving the back pack design. Its like an evil Cocktail
 
I missed your suited up post Mike.... you look the business mate. Congratulations on an amazing suit. I hope your very proud! I think your neck ring is killer too, much better than the movie concepts! Any chance of selling them?

Everything is for SALE !!!! Haha. Let me repair the mold and take a few casts. The shipping will cost more than the thing itself. Not sure u still want it. B)
 
This is the first time I have come across this topic for some strange reason, but I'm so glad I came after the bulk of it was completed !!!

I would have developed an ulcer waiting for constant updates!

This thing is absolutely sick Mike!!! Amazing work. There aren't enough words to describe how killer this is.

I would have given anything to be there helping you make the bazillion molds that you went through.

Anyway, great work, and I can't wait to see what else you come up with as you complete it. I'm really looking forward to the swords. I love the idea.

Hey bro. Just wanted to let you know I started the base mesh for the 3d model of the bonehunter bio

I love your costom armors man... they are soo sick! I can't wait to own a set or two some day!
 
WoW i only just found this one ( how the hell did i miss it ) that is awesome, Really has inspired me to get the clay out and get creating love it keep it up cant wait to see more ( love your concepts and use of allsorts of things )

This thread will soon go to a Part 2 as I will evolve the armor to more like Predators. I will also switch to a slightly more economical way to produce nice looking armor that's lighter and a bit more flexible using a semi-riged latex material that can be backed by fiberglass. Resins will still be used for things like blade gauntlets and Helmets.

OK Whiny baby I maky resin for you

Yes the organic stuff will still stay, just the outline and shape of the armor and the way it wraps around the body will be like the new Predators. I just feel my organic style fits
those kinds of shapes better. You will see. As for the Backpack and swords will still be in resin fiberglass for durability.

Possibly some sword deployment mechanics in there also - that's why its taking me forever.
