Ghoul Hunter Body Armor: Design-N-Build

Based on your concept art in the background I would say that you are spot sir
Very cool Mike keep up the work that I know that you are very good at!!

I've done it and finally finished it. Well there are some tiny spot I will splatter on later. Its my first airbrushed suit trying to make it look natural.
Picture showing Layers and layers of paint to build up the dark spots. The dark spots are painted with a brush then went over with Black to connect the dots.
Will need more practice on this airbrush.
I was going to use this suit originally for my Bone Hunter Build-up since I'm lack of suits and time I'm gonna use this one for Ghoul for now.
It was fun airbrushing though. Definitely gonna make a full body suit later.

Really loving the pattern on the suit Mike, congrats on your first suit paint up. Extremely rewardign when you see what you can accomplish mate.

Thanks Bryan. I'm not really great at Airbrushing.
I'm studying a lot of Joe Dunaway's paint-ups and animal patterns. Joe says he stares at animal pictures all day like a lunatic. I now know why

Ghoul Hunter's Boots WIP 2

Still gotta clean it up, add more details, refine corners etc.
Its pretty much there. Gonna mold it in Plaster and cast latex parts for it.

I love the design Uratz! It's turning out great. It's also some good images of how to do it--you have a wicked imagination! May I ask how much clay was used, seems like a lot.

I used a plaster form over a duct tape dummy of my leg with the boosted shoes. SO it was a 1cm plaster shell that I sculpted over. I didn't need a lot of clay for this plus the plaster shell form
provides an accurate template to sculpt something that will fit my shoes later. Even if there was a little shrinkage the plaster form compensates for it. This final shoe size will be a size 13.

Final Details added- for better or worse you tell me.

Anyway I thought the black spots alone was just too "boring."

I agree, I really like the paint-up. And thanks for the info. I can't wait to see the finished product. It's like watching a masterpiece form in front of you.

I'd never even considered two toned spots, your guaranteed an original paint up with the idea. Its a unique perspective and I love the contrast it produces in the body color it really helped bring out the whole color theme. So I know you air brushed the majority of the suit, which if that is your first airbrush you really are a god I swear, but did you paint the contrasting dots on by hand or air brush them as well? I'm still learning basic control with my airbrush and I keep applying my coats to thick I think because the spots always end up runny looking.

The two tone spots really make it "pop". Great job Mike!
ps-I noticed your post on my old build thread back in May, sorry I never answered back, I haven't been real active as far as checking everything and all the forums and posts, but yours is coming along great though

Thanks for the comments! All the black spots and yellow spots are done hand brushed for control.
Airbrushed spots usually look too foggy around the edges even with a double action up close.
Anyway glad u guys liked it. I thank Joe Dunaway (God of paint ups) for the tips and inspiration.
