Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

Franchises diminish the original, this just more swimming in the nostalgia pool.
Yep. I mean, sure, go ahead and make one. But let's not kid ourselves about whether you can "recapture the magic." Maybe these films will be entertaining in their own right, maybe they'll just be "also rans." But it's not gonna be the magic of the first one, so, you know, go into it with that attitude.

The first was a step in the right direction, which there were a few issues I had, but I hopefully they will be more willing to try something completely original and do not set up the whole plot around a painting. Little easter eggs are find, just not the whole plot.

Ah, Patton Oswalt. I remember when he took a shot at James Rolfe (who's a huge Ghostbusters fan) for simply stating he wasn't going to watch the 2016 movie because he thought Ghostbusters deserved better. Yeah, Patton insulted James because he dared to express dismay that a franchise he loves wasn't getting a worthy sequel. 7 years later, Oswalt, who made fun of him and shilled for that 2016 cash-grab mess is now being rewarded. 'Beautiful' irony isn't it?
