Jason Reitman described this movie as a love letter to fans. Paul Rudd's character is basically us. A guy who loved the Ghostbusters as a kid, even when others didn't, believed them when others didn't and remembered them when others didn't and always wanted to play with the gear.
Yeah, the scene where the ecto1a leaves the fire station for the first time and Louis comes out screaming “certified check, cash or money order!!!”
Originally they wanted the ecto1 in the back, with a cover partially covering it (like in this new trailer in the barn) but they couldn’t fit the ecto in there side ways.. and couldn’t fit both ecto’s in the station at the same time.. so they ditched it..
But it was always intended there was 2 cars for gb2.
The packs are dressed up in gb2 fashion what I’ve seen so far, they even have the gb2 mount style as well
I’m a very very impressed with their prop continuity.. VERY impressed
And they picked the perfect cast member for that role! This is gonna be bigger then the unexplained mass sponge migration!!
Judging by the trailer I’m guessing yes, the blonde chick is egon’s daughter, Rudd doesn’t realize right away the kids are related to Spengler because they hold the mothers married name
There was so many scripts made for gb3, the last one which we call the “vineyard script” was the last one written and most serious, aykroyd met Ramis at his cottage in the vineyard and finalized it there in 2 weeks.
The script was rejected, and they put it online.
This trailer hints at a few things taken from that script.. and if the big baddie is who I think it is.. that was in the script as well

Why are they broke? Because there hasn’t been a ghost around in 30 years? The GBs scared them all away?
I always thought what if the GBs finally made it big on a global level?! After GB they went public and in every city and town across the country or world they had ghostbuster public service like fire and police, selling the technology and becoming rich beyond their dreams..
At least this was a fan fiction I was coming up with the last 20 years lol
I thought have it world wide because at the time Murray wanted nothing to do with GB, so have him and Dana in Spain, Dana being a huge musician promoter and Murray in charge of all the European GB stuff...

Supposedly it does count as canon, like to know as well if after this film comes out if the game is still canon..
Your not missing too much after the court house scene lol
I always thought the film was great until after that scene.. then the film jumps the shark.. or should I say “walks a Statue of Liberty.. “

You had to bring me back down to planet Earth! Haha I certainly have concerns but the trailer is very good and the subtle call backs have me as giddy as the fat girl who's been asked to the school dance..
