...and you don't understand how people could possibly see that as a rather immature thing to do? I'm referring to both the cosplay shenanigans AND aggressiveness towards people that don't mind the reboot after being banned on a few fan pages.

I know plenty of friends and fans that didn't care for GB16, but didn't receive any hate/backlash while discussing it. They express their thoughts in casual conversation-- mature, from adult to adult. It's typically the rather loud bad apples that have been spewing hate and vitriol since day one that get called out in a variety of venues. For example-- above. Everything from crazy conspiracies to name-calling to making fun of the physical appearance of the acting talent and everything in between. It's all in the two GB16 threads, and can sometimes look like a playground conversation between third graders.


While I'm not an expert on Hollywood accounting or in the know on what sort of deals Sony has worked out on GB, I know that box office take isn't the only factor at play. There's also merch licensing, product placement, streaming/DVD/BR, broadcast rights, etc. Typically, angry fans aren't the best source for hard numbers on corporate entertainment franchises-- especially in this case.

Immature? Call it getting even. The pro rebooters shunned the anti rebooters before the movie came out. Now that the reboot came out and loss $70 plus million, it's our turn to rub their faces in their loss. And what is up with this Ghostbusters United crap? Unite fans of the originals and the reboot. Never. Spread the love for the reboot? Hell no. The reboot deserves to be stomped on and then have it's open wounds rubbed on a salt lick.

I finally watched this today . I really wanted it to be great . so I could feel superior to the haters. But I figured it would be good at least . I really am stunned at the nothing, I mean absolute nothing I found redeeming in the movie . I think I laughed at 4 things total. I might of laughed at a few more but anything remotely funny was shown in the trailer so I had seen it umteen times.

1st laugh the meta like Reading of online comments which was only funny because I knew they were making fun of people who pre bashed it on line

2nd laugh the dude giving the girls the bird in various ways total crude humor ( wasn't this pg or something???)
3rd and fourth were the cameos in the cab and the end .
I really want to now what the hell with bill Murray he could not agree on another ghost busters movie in all these years and then agrees to this !!! He sucked in it himself which I just can't believe at all !!!
I'm flabbergasted I really am . I so wanted to think there is no way it deserves this much hate but in my opinion it does .

it just does.


I would rather watch trip to bountiful again than this . that's 2 hours of an old Lady waiting on a bus to go visit her hometown and her grown kids trying to talk her out of it .

First no OTHER side to be on I obviously was not very passionate about this movie if I just now got around to watching it lol and second
Not a pro Rebooter at all . i too thought WTF A reboot why ? Can't wE just continue the story ? Why can't they be like the Chicago franchise of ghostbusters . the reason I was hoping it would be great was one I would like to see a good movie but mainly after EVERYONE crapped on it before one frame was shown I wanted all the its gonna suck because its not what I expect people to be wrong . but sadly the SAFE BET is jut say its gonna suck as soon as its announced cuz you got. 90% chance of being right . especially with all these reboots .

I do tend to give movies a little more benefit of the doubt I guess and HOPE the reboot will be cool . I mean there GONNA make it so why HOPE it sucks?

But then again I remember the original spider man and captian america movies from the 80s and even the never released fantastic four. All of which were ridiculously crappy !
Seriously the Chinese web spider man movie just had white rope lazily tossed about for webbing . and the bad guy would like catch it and twist it about himself . hell it would be great as a Saturday night live skit but they were serious and went on for an hour and a half.

Lately I have been remembering back to a decade ago maybe even longer about when all I bitched about was the lack of originality in movies . I would tell myself

At this point I have just given up.
My cynical self is just like sure why not reboot it all . reboot pixels its been long enough right? I mean with the CGI we got nowadays they could clean it up so its not so damn pixelated .

By the way i dont count the Conan movie as a reboot attempt it was just a common name back then. And anyone who knows anything could tell that was not THE Conan . might as well of been called Steve the barbarian. And just to keep this on thread topic . GB16 is no good!!!!!! In my opinion !

From the box office totals, the most of the kids saw Secret Life of Pets and Finding Dory during the theatrical run of Feigbusters. From what I can count, perhaps nine kids saw Feigbusters, including the kid posted by Jettafro.

The PG-13 rating kept a lot of the kids from seeing the dumpster fire.
