Ghost in the Shell "9-Weapon"

Here you go Mike!

The receiver on the 9-Weapon swivels up on the front hinge. This makes maintenance and upkeep of the inner workings extremely simple. Changing out the barrel is also performed with the weapon in this state.

Gun opens up with this as the hinge. When fully opened, a stopper engages with a click to hold the receiver in the open position.

Keep 'em coming!

Drawing up the profile of my grenade in Illustrator, which I will then export as an AutoCAD *.DXF, to be imported by Solidworks and turned into 'solid' parts.

This will be a four-part assembly: The primer, the shell body, the forward body, and the front end. If I play my cards right, I can put electronics in this...

Further updates tonight.

Selector

The fire selector is integrated into the front of the grip.
This means the user can operate it with their finger still on the trigger.
The selections are safe, semi-auto, and full auto.
Since this weapon has been developed for use by cyborgs, there's no burst fire mode.

Mysterious benefactor away!! The night is my wings! *Draws cloak around face*

Thank you, LOL :)

I just ordered my grenade parts, expect them around Sept. 11-15.

Given the size of my grenade, and the size of the LEDs, I don't think I can fit a switch inside it.
