I was curious if someone could point me to a board or discussion forum on these costumes and components.

Darth,
I'm not aware of any forum for these costumes, but this just popped up recently. Really opened my eyes to some interesting Zod costume details! Hope this is something you can use!

I have new respect for the new Mattel 12" figure.

They got a lot right, the colors are there and either Stamp had small feet or the boots just make his feet look small.

Sure wish I had a few ten thousand laying around. I might go for that suit on E-bay. Anyway, thanks folks. It 's just something I've been interested in a for a while and really have never seen it done well at a con.

AHA... with these pics, then that action figure is wrong. Sure, it got the red boots right, but the trim on his shirt seems black.

The guy who played Non went to the same high school as I did. Hope that helps with your costume quest! ;)

It looks red in the photo of Stamp wearing the outfit, but in all the others it does look black.
But that whole picture has a red hue to it, suggesting they used a red light along with the regular photographer lights. Perhaps to simulate the red sun of Krypton? And since glossy black reflects... could the red seen there be the reflection of that red light, as it is definitely less RED than the boots in that same picture.

Here's a couple of pics of my Zod from the Metropolis Superman Celebration a few years ago.

I couldn't find anything that did the whole irridescent red action, so I went with the "basic black".

It was actually one of the most comfortable costumes I've worn :)

And here it is "in action":

I know there was a site a little while ago called fortress of solitude. I'm not exactly sure of the URL. But it was something along those lines. Hope this helps

Great job, misterfusion, I especialy like the 'tude you're dispaying!
I recall the pants having a bit more flare to them, like Jodphurs (sp?). In the movie, weren't the open on the sides? Overlapping?

You're right about the legs, I shoulda pulled them out further.

As for the split leg, that was just on Ursa's costume, so she could show off a little skin :)
