Wow Andymac. That vintage obi wan looks great.

If you dont mind, would you tell me how much it cost to get all the parts and how you did it. As another person not from the US or UK (Japan here), i want to build a vintage Obi and could use some help.

Yes of course. I've noticed and kept every bill on the parts. Send me a pm with all your questions.:)

Oh and thanks a lot for your compliments. :):thumbsup

Yeah I got that from Charlie:))

I wanted to strip down the body, but I'm fighting with the historical aspect of leaving it as it is. Decisions decisions.....

I like its historic beat up condition, but I can't help bur wonder how it would look re-weathered. Good luck deciding!

Indeed ... yours looks great just as it is ... no additional red paint on there to be removed ... so grab it in your greasy hands from time to time and it will darken naturally!

well there's the one in Texas ... still on ebay ... does it have the correct balance pipes ... who knows ... it needs to be asked to the owner first to allow it to be opened and checked ... but he seems a 'nasty piece of work' to put it mildly ... at least that's what I've gathered so far.

Here's a picture of that engine :
