Game of Thrones

Yah, the rules on resurrected wights has gotten confusing.
Also... not too keen on the "Age of Ultron pull-the-plug-and-they-all-fall-down" scenario. But, whatevs...
Still so torn on this season...
The more I think about it, the more stupid it becomes.
But when I go back and watch clips on youtube, I still fret and cheer and shout and shed tears of joy and amazement...

So, the title of the finale is "The Dragon and the Wolf" and it will be an hour and twenty minutes. Fits in with similar episode titles "The Wolf and the Lion" and "The Lion and the Rose". Still wondering about Daenerys' lack of appearance in the preview. Will she be at the meeting? Seems like she has to, but what if Tyrion advises her not to go?

You forgot "The Bear and the Maiden Fair"!

a bear there was, a bear, a bear
all black and brown, and covered with hair

As much as I love that song, and I half expected someone to start singing it during the dead bear attack last ep, no, I didn't forget it. That doesn't really fit the scheme.

But, if you were joking and just looking for an excuse to get this song stuck in my head...

Well played, sir! Well played!

They're not even consistent with that, in the scene where Jon kills that one WW and all of the wights fall, except for one. How does that even work? And if it's basically a mindless zombie like creature, why is it afraid of Jon & gang and running around back and forth from one person to the next instead of just going agro on the nearest person?

That wight didn't belong to that White Walker, he was from HR. That is why he is freaking out so much, he has a ton of paperwork to do now that his group got wiped out but Jon & gang wont let him get it done.

So do you think if Jon and crew grounded up some dragon glass into a power/ mini shards. Placed the mix into a bag / cannon ball/ barrel or what ever. Blew it up / dropped it / crop dusted from a super high in the sky dragon. Would the mixture killed all the blue eye bro connection team? It a real simple and easy task to pull off plus it would be every where on them. Dragon glass buck shot

They'll use dragon glass arrow heads on the scorpions. Bronn is pretty good with them. He was able to get a shot off at Drogon. Or maybe someone with a Valyrian steel weapon will get in close enough to use it. Imagine someone jumps from Drogon or Rhaegal on to Viserion and stabs it with a sword. That would be a good death.

Yeah I had that one figured out already with arrows n Bronn. Working on the blue man group with buck shot. But if you are gonna toss someone use the dwarf. Lol

I'm still thinking about the title of the finale and doing some reading online. Obviously the title refers to the sigils of House Stark and House Targaryen. Automatically I assumed this refers to Jon and Daenerys uniting. It could also refer to how both these houses are already united within Jon himself. Then, I found some theories online where people think that, due to some casting, we may be seeing Rhaegar in a flashback. If that's the case, that would be amazing, but it would also mean the title could refer to Lyanna and Rhaegar. That would be incredible if after all this time we finally get to see Rhaegar.

Yeah I came across that too while I was reading. I think its the misdirect from dany and jon to lyanna and rhaegar. I would imagine everyone that matters in westeros will find out that Jon Snow is a starkgaryen.

I like to think that the Night King knew they were coming and set this up as an elaborate trap to get a dragon. Seeing that one wight survive made me think that immediately.

However, if the show was going for this being a trap set by the Night King, the show didn't establish it well. Assuming the Night King knew they were coming is one of the few ways I can place any logic into the weak writing of the episode. It was a fun episode as it's tough to mess up such a great crew of characters and dragons vs. zombies, but man, quite a poorly written and illogical sequence of events.

Same with the Stark sister plotline. If this is a trap by them to get Littlefinger, it's a horribly written setup only presenting Arya as a psycho.

Agreed, writing is just not as good going beyond the established book material. The general plot and action is still epic, just obvious we have less GRRM-driven script.
