Game of Thrones

I went into tonight's episode expecting a middle of the road episode before the usual big final two. Boy was I wrong!!! That was pretty epic!

Great episode. My favorite part was when Jon was able to stop the white walkers weapon with out his being shattered. Both of them had a WTF look on their faces before Jon acted quickly to attack.

yeah the High sparrow gang can go try and fly off the top of north tower. I hope they all get a very painful death.

Heck yeah! Those last 20 minutes or so had my mouth open in amazement. THAT was SO well done! They're putting big screen Hollywood to shame!

The battle at Hardhome was great. I loved how all the trailers teased it as a battle between Jon's men and the wildlings instead of what it actually was. Didn't expect that at all. Loved the scenes with Tyrion and Daenerys, too. Really great episode.

Wow, that episode was definitely one of the best.

I felt a little disappointed in past "epic" battles sequences like the Battle at Blackwater and the battle for the wall because they seemed to fall a little flat. Of course that might just have been because I knew how they turned and it just never could quite live up to my expectations based on how I imagined it, or seem as epic as it had in the books, or maybe they didn't have as much of a budget, or any combination of reasons.

At any rate, last night I had no idea where it was going and it was all new to me, so maybe that added to the epicness.

It was refreshing to see the part of the story that has largely taken a back seat to everything else up top this point. That part of the story is going to become the core of the upcoming books/tv seasons and in a way, is what the entire series framework really is based on. I think it's the first time we've really been given a glimpse of just how devastating a full on assault from the White Walkers and their army of the dead is going to be. We've just had random small encounters here and there up to this point

Out of curiosity, are people going to still care as much about the "little" things now.

Are we going to be entertained enough by little finger's schemes, Sansa's woes in the next two(?) seasons compared to what we have seen in that episode?

I think they are going to have to shift towards much bigger picture stuff for the most part from here on it

The "little" things are what adds depth to the overall story. If it were just the big plotlines, then it would get boring to watch.

"Ooh! Another battle at The Wall! Ooh! Tyrion is advising Dany! Ooh! Stannis is STILL planning his big move! Ooh! Cersei is still a bitch!"

Yeah, it would grow tiresome after a while.

sure, I think people care about all the stuff big and small. I just think the body count is gonna start going up as they all merge to a point. Likely one of the big camps is gonna have to go bye bye soon. Dragons gonna have step up soon. Stanis or boltons gonna have to go..likely Boltons. Doran gonna have make a move too, likely when MoD comes to say hi to her uncles. The hound is coming back to kill all the sparrows cause he heard they taste like chickens. Plus we need the 3 eye raven crap too, so yeah..lots to pack in for 2 seasons.
