Game of Thrones

I havent seen anything in the show so faithful to the books like this since the 1st season. I'm still in shock. Usually I watch each week's ep a few times, but I just dont know if I can do that this time. Dont think I want to see that again.

This show is so great.

I finished watching it and I was speechless afterwards. I felt like someone was gonna jump out and shout "Haha, we're just ****ing with you. This is actually April fools in westeros" I don't think I've ever been this blown away and in shock from a TV show. I'm really really really hoping arya becomes an assassin and kills those pieces of ****.

Also the Internet is gonna explode in the next hour or so. Like modems combusting from the collective rage.

Well, there was ONE thing about the Red Wedding that I think wasn't accurate. In the TV version, Rob's wife was there and was murdered first. I THOUGHT she wasn't there and elsewhere, and there was question as to whether or not she was pregnant and would have a child that could have a claim to the North. This clearly finished up that plot thread.

Well, I didn't expect that.

That was so much worse than I was predicting. Talisa getting stabbed... I don't think I've reeled from watching something quite as much as watching that.

I knew it was coming, but it still didn't prepare me for just how awful it would feel to actually see it happen. I can't remember the last time a show made me feel like that.

The forums at westeros.org have already been having problems due to the traffic. And obviously Talisa's death isn't accurate to the books since she's not even a character in the books. Also, Catelyn didnt claw her face. I wonder if in next week's ep they'll mention Robb being beheaded and Grey Wind's head being sewn on in its place or tossing Cat into the river mocking the Tully death rites?

Some really great little nods to the book readers, though. Like a Manderly being present and when Cat notices Roose Bolton's maille.

Can't remember the chronology well enough to remember if next week's episode will have the wedding feast that I'm really looking forward to...

I think that one's going to be next season at this point... probably in the first three or so episodes.

I hope not. That would be speeding things up quite a bit, even for the show. IIRC, the show teased 2 weddings this season. We've got 2, so I'm betting thats it until S4.

I haven't read the books, but I felt something was "off" with the wedding celebration. I really wasn't prepared for what happened and am still trying to process last night's episode. If the season finally next week doesn't top this episode it'll be a huge letdown. They certainly have their work cut out for them.
