Game of Thrones

Doesn't seem like that hard of a thing - get some horse crap on a shovel, start the camera, drop it on the floor, then have the horse walk. Trying to get a horse to crap on cue or adding it in digitally would be way more of a complicated thing than it needs to be.

My buddy made mention and I thought it was a cool idea. He thinks that the main baddie on the horse at the end of the episode was a Targerian.

I also have a feeling that John Snows missing uncle is that king of the north people that John Snow is being brought to.

He's not.

It's not.

They could feed it something, I'm sure. Or the prop guys had to whip something up. :lol

I loved that they kept the ceremony scene straight from the book like that. They had to have known that faithful readers were expecting to see the horse poop. Nice of them to include that for us, eh?;) I was wondering if they'd allude to the fact that the Kingsguard were off knighting people for several hours. It just baffles me why they didn't seize the perfect opportunity to start delving into the back story when Dany enters the HotU, though. Seemed like the perfect chance to show Rhaegar, Aerys, and some others. Or at least start hinting at some of the major prophecies.

I'm kind of bummed that they didn't have Tyrion's chain the show, or show Bronn being knighted during the ceremony as he was in the book, but that's a fairly minor quibble on my part. :)

Well that just sucks, that would of been cool. Thanks for the info Adam.

There's a very mysterious character that shows up in book 3 that I'm personally convinced IS Benjen Stark. :D

I thought as much and the other thing would be cool. Maybe all the magic IS tied to the dragons return as Pyat Pree said.

Mmm, I'd say yes and no. The Others were coming back prior to the Dragons being hatched by Dany. I'd say that the return of the Others spurred to action whatever forces prompted Dany to set the eggs in Drogo's pyre and walk into the flames.

In reading the books, there's a LOT going on that is unmaking a lot of things and changing them back to how they were prior to Aegon the Conqueror taking over Westeros.

Benjen Stark = Coldhands to you?

They already said in the series who the King Beyond the Wall is, no?

That's a big 10-4 good buddy.

Also, from the interview posted, it seems the earlier speculation on the true patronage of one Snow-y ******* is confirmed.

I really like how they had Varys say onscreen that most people won't remember Tyrion's part in saving KL. Even though they didnt show his chain, the TV show has still done a great job to show how much he did to save the city and set up the fact that it will be soon forgotten. I'd say poor Tyrion, but, well, its Tyrion!

Liked the ending, but I thought the dragon rescue was a little weak. Haven't read the books so I don't know how true it was to them.

Dany's whole story this season wasnt true to the books at all. She never had her dragons stolen and she didnt turn her khalasar into lowly thieves. While there were some interesting things for her in the show, the book did a much better job of putting her on the path to becoming a queen. Hopefully season 3 does more with her. She's such an awesome and strong character in the book. The producers better not screw her up. Sometimes it seems like they dont know what to do with her.
