Galaxys Edge

For people in California... It looks like they've closed the Wonderground Gallery in Downtown Disney and turned it into a new Galaxy's Edge Star Wars trading post. All the Legacy lightsabers are available as well as Jedi Robes, Dejarik and Sabacc games. Plus the kowakian
lizard monkey puppets and lots of plush. A lot of the merchandise without the admission price. Sorry to see the gallery go but this was a surprise.

Vote For The Next Legacy Lightsaber

VoteforaSaber_Dok-1024x576.jpg

Which Legacy Lightsaber do you hope to see next?
Anakin Skywalker
Kanan Jarrus
Qui-Gon Jinn
Cal Kestis
Ezra Bridger
Lord Corvax

I think it's from a video game. I voted Qui Gonn as well. Although I'd also love a Dooku (Not listed as an option). For me Movies > All others.

>some guy I've never heard of is in first place

I hope you are not disrespecting a lady. ;)

But Cal Kestis is in the lead? Google tells me he's a dude. (And also from a video game.)

I figured that if there was some one on that list you didn’t know, it would be the Corvax. Cal is pretty well known In Star Wars even if you don’t play the game and if you pay attention on this board, there have been topics and projects about him.

I voted Cal. My son will be very excited to see it on the list. He put together a 3D print model this summer: "You must pass on what you have learned." My son's first build: Fallen Order Lightsaber

and I guess it not Lady Corvax lightsaber but Since it is Lord, it belongs to the Black Bishop. Here is one info about the hilt: Black Bishop's lightsword

I knew a little of the back story when reading up on Vader’s castle and the changes to Mustafar in Rise of Skywalker.

I voted Cal. Since EA and EFX really pulled one over on collectors by not releasing a Collectors Edition that included a lightsaber instead choosing to send it to various influencers and celebrities.

I dig the Corvax saber design, it's definitely my favorite, but there's no way that Disney would be able to pull off an electronic, functioning saber while still keeping that paper-thin arch over the emitter. They would either remove that part completely or make it a piece that you can slide on when you take the blade out, and either way it just wouldn't look right. I love the design but it just doesn't seem feasible. So I voted for Cal's saber, it's the most different (after Corvax's).

Now if they would have had up Ezra's saber from season one/two, I would have voted the heck out of that thing.

Also voted Qui-Gon. I missed the last Korbanth batch by a DAY, and it's been pretty much impossible to find an equally accurate metal replica anywhere else at a comparable price. Qui-Gon's lightsaber has been among my favorites since I was a kid. I love its elegant simplicity.

I also heard that Galaxy Edge merch will start selling outside of Galaxy's Edge, which is good news for me! I'm guessing the pandemic has hit Disney's parks sales hard.

Yeah, Mara Jade's Father posted that above, Post #183.

BUT... "Current lightsabers and gear from Black Spire Outfitters will be available on shopDisney.com for a limited time and with limited quantities" starting September 28th.

So I guess get the stuff while you can.

What's the conventional wisdom on the accuracy of those GE lightsabers? Thinking about grabbing a few, for display purposes only.

Also, anyone know what the saber stands cost?

Plz and thx.

It depends on which one. Some are oversized or proportions off to facilitate internals.

Thx. I think I saw a picture of the Luke ROTJ with two necks on it - one skinny (accurate) and one wide to accommodate the blade.

Is there a post or a site somewhere that rates each one's accuracy?

As far as I know, there's no saber by saber detail comparison yet. Partly because they are new, and partly because people interested in screen accurate have better. Closest I can find here is: Legacy Lightsaber Accuracy? (Galaxy's Edge)

But even just from photos you can see: not very accurate, but definitely good for the price. All are idealized, some a bit fat.

I will almost certainly pick up one or two. Seem like good value for the price, but in terms of accuracy, I doubt any of them would even be in the same category as some of the fan made runs. Although again, this is just the impression I get from photos.

I think this has a lot of them.

i don’t think he has other brand to compare but I would just search around YouTube.

Thanks to you both. I’m more interested in accuracy over a low price. I mean, I’d love both, but if I could pick only one, accuracy wins every time.

ShopDisney.com is going to start selling legacy sabers on 9/28, and I thought I might pick up a few. I was hoping that since the saber designers likely had access to archive screen-used reference materials, the sabers would be pretty close to the mark. However, if the designers sacrificed a noticeable amount of accuracy in order to accommodate the electronics/blades, I may pass.

Yeah so I voted Cal. Sure the market is flooded but its rare to see one with the explodey pomel. I think lukyanov is one of the few that accurately pulls it off so I am curious what Disney magic can do. Maybe they would even offer a separate connector?

But after seeing the luke ROTJ hero fat neck... I am certain the Ezra v2 would suffer the same fate so I'm glad thats not winning because I could hear the pissing and moaning already lol
