Galaxys Edge

Yes and no. Anytime you buy or do something, there is opportunity cost (opportunity cost refers to what you have to give up to buy what you want in terms of other goods or services..)

So if all you want is say arm load of GE product, you have to factor in the costs of lost wages or value of paid vacation, travel expense (gas, food, lodgings, park ticket cost, the value of any other activity you could be doing instead (even taking a nap has personal value to a person). You have to weigh those against the mark up of the item and dermine which is the better deal. So in this case, yes going eBay is better.

But if you are planning a vacation to Disney, or you live in Orlando and have season passes, these costs are much lower. You are already paying for most of the above already. You will get a better value personally buying the stuff yourself at the park.

So for each person it is different based on your situation.
When my son and I went, I did notice a few people buying up lightsabers and some other items. Guessing they went on ebay.

Does anyone know if there are any kind of blade plug replacements available? So that you can activate light and sound without any blades attached to the saber?

The Galaxy's Edge merchandise is back up at Shopdisney.com. Lightsabers are on backorder but still available for purchase and shipping by 10/19

I was on at 10:00. I new the restock would be there but ai was hoping they would have the creatures listed. But no.

I'm digging these plugs...

they are cool looking but they say nothing about working with with the Savi hilts. I mean they might fit but I think what Roobyoo was wanting was one that enabled the hilt to function as it does with a blade.

The one I posted comes with some sort of adapter. Not that shop sells the adapter separately so maybe if you have that part, you can add some other plug that fits.

It should be noted that I don’t know much about fx hilts so I might be off base on this. I am just making sure people get what they want.

Btw, speaking of Galaxy Edge books, you can get a free ebook.

But hurry... it is only free till October 9, 2020.

Well The Line Jumper totally came through. I was nervous but the process was perfect. Easy to order, fast shipping, tracking number at order, text/email updates. I don’t remember if the Kylo is $150 or $175 at GE, I paid $210 plus $15 shipping and got it in about a week.

Wow. Those prices are pretty high with the exception of the lightsabers. I bought a bunch of those items in person for less than half. The soda bottles were 6 bucks each with soda in them. Can't see the attraction for 22 dollars empty .

Yes, I understand adding the cost of your ticket, lodging and expenses, this is cheap. But, wow. I live here so I can 1 day it and spend so much less. Looks like I can buy extras next time and pay for my entire trip. Lol

For me there are only a very few items I'm interested in from GE, mostly the Kylo saber. I've watched multiple review videos of Kylo Ren lightsabers and the GE version appears to be the most accurate licensed version (compared to the Black Series versions and the plastic toys). Obviously it's not as accurate as some of the versions available through artisans here on the RPF, but it's 1/2 the price of those. It's just going to be a display piece for me, and it's accurate enough for the money I spent.

I did see the Emperor robes were $350 on Line Jumper, I was thinking that was really high. If/when I'm ready to make that purchase I was going to reach out to someone here who is in Cali/FL that can buy/ship for me and not use Line Jumper.

I was a kid in a candy store.
Bought Yoda lamp and cane, falcon chess table pieces, sabac cards and a few other goodies as well. Crystal's holocrons and my son made me get him the jedi food pellets. Lol. Bought the jedi and sith empty page books as well. Bought my son Darth Mauls saber. That thing is too long.

When covid is over and we are back to normal, I will make a run and let members know. I will buy some extras and sell them at cost plus shipping.

I still can't wait to ride the Rise of the Resistance next year!! Please let the mascots work when I get there. Arghhh

I thought this looked interesting....

They have the standard version of that book at Target, Galaxy's Edge got its own special version. I haven't read it yet but if it's anything like the Dark Legends book it should be pretty awesome. But ouch, that $45 is painful considering the basic version of the book is $15.

The target book is not the standard version. The standard (original) version came out Aug 2019. The Target version contains 3 new stories, The Disney version contains 6 new stories plus the fancy cover and binding.

The reason I pointed out the Disney Store version is that it is made to look in-universe which I like.
