IT'S OUT!

Vox Lighting Kit by VoodooFX

Take the Pegasus Galaxy Quest Vox Model and upgrade it with this exciting new lighting kit by VoodooFX. The low-profile electronics fits in the narrow inner body with just a little work. Part of the installation is cutting out the Vox transmitter circular hole and installing a translucent film (with preprinted lightning graphic).

I have mine coming soon and I'll add my comments to this thread. If you already have yours, please post your thoughts.

The price is $49.99 USD plus $10 shipping.

does the kit come with the translucent film print of the lightning?

It's cool that they released a kit, but...... 3 blinking LEDs costs $50 now? I was expecting either an actual plasma disc or something that costs quite a bit less. I guess my vox kit will just go unbuilt for the time being.

Please understand...I am not trying to be rude, but...

Yah. What HE said.

$50 for three blinking LEDs? And the customer still has to assemble it themself.

The real plasma disks are $20 and I installed one in my VOX replica. YES, it was a lot of work. YES... (NO) it is not for the faint-hearted, YES, it was a pain in the nuts...but you then have the REAL effect when it is done.

I guess this is a good solution for folks who don't want to have to do the labor required (or risk damaging) the plasma disks...

I bought one of your $30 kits for the nebulizer. Very nice. But I would propose to you that charging $80 for electronics to light a $17 model kit, may not be the best approach.

ps: That video is agonizing...we have to sit through 5 minutes of credits and trailers to watch three LEDs blink.

Sorry...I will stop busting your chops now.

Considering Randy's kit is not mass produced, the price is reasonable. I support Randy because his is an American made product.
