Galaxy Quest Moments Quotes ect.

"Give him a big hand, he's British."

"Wow, the floors are so clean!"

"That was a hell of a thing."

"We are actors, not astronauts."

"I remember that sound. It's a bad sound!"

"Did you guys ever WATCH the show?" That's my favorite, I often state it when watching later ST shows.

They even made fun of the guy who hosted the Creation cons back in the nineties.

I tell friends who never attended a ST con, watch galaxy Quest. That will give you a glimpse into that world.

I got a lot of the jokes in that film, but I would love to know some of the insider jokes.

I always saw that this movie had more potential, but I guess no one in the 'high up' thought it was worthwhile. Sad :(

I think they didn't do anything due to the legal risks. The ST people are a bit sue happy, and I heard some of the people involved in ST did not enjoy being made fun of(even though they deserved it).

Funny, before my wife and I were married we went to the theater to see that and I walked out going, "My god, that was terrible!". Then it started to play on TV and I kept watching, and then I slowly started to like it, until I finally decided to buy it. I love that movie now, especially seeing Raine Wilson from the Office and Sam Rockwell in there. I guess not being a Star Trek fan and understanding the Star Trek universe stopped me from getting the parody of it at first.

My favorite line is from Sam Rockwell, when he turns to the group on the planet and says, "Did any of you even watch the show!", and of course his "rudimentary lathe" quote.

I also love Tony Shaloob's face when they all get transported the very first time, and everyone is freaked out, except him, the expression on his face was priceless.

I love this movie, and I always catch myself quoting it.

"I know, I'll put my hands to my mouth and go CAW CAW!"

"What do we have these for?!" *holds up communicator

"I....I'm sorry...."

or

"This way...oh um..wait...this way"

"You were holding it upside down!?"

"Shut up..."

"For a minute I actually thought you were smart with all that stuff on!"

when she sees the Gnashers for the first time and she says "well screw that"

but we all know what she really said!

There were actually a few moments in the movie where their lips read one thing and they said a different. Hers was the most obvious. I know there was a line in the begining from Laredo when they are backstage and he says: "You are so full of it man", when his lips read: "You are so full of **** man", something like that. They must of been going for a SOLID PG-13 rating.

"The floors are soo clean!!"

What kils me, is if you watch the DVD menus long enough, someone scoots across witha dust broom.

And the Gilligan's Island lines slayed me!

I love this movie. I have no problem making fun of myself as a scifi fan. I also liked Fanboys, but this is a true gem.

I do get teary at the "By Grabthars hammer death scene"

"I see you managed to get your shirt off"

"You scene stealing hack"

Everything about Sigourney Weaver, lines, outfit, yes, her boobs

Comander a word... Weeeeeee need your help.

This movie is just entirely too much fun with its content and has so many great scenes/lines. Just reading the posts makes me chuckle all over again. Bring on the historical documents.

What's wrong with her? Doesn't she talk?
Her translator is broken. (Noise)
Okie Dokie then.

The amount of "homework" the writers did for this film really is amazing-

For instance the Beryllium Sphere (which is the equivalent of Star Trek's Dilithium Crystals).

I always knew what the Sphere was "supposed" to represent, however not only is Beryllium an actual element (metal) on Earth, it comes right after Lithium on the periodic table. Lithium was originally supposed to be what the ship ran on in Star Trek until it was changed to the fictional "Dilithium."

Love it, Love it, Love it!:D:D:D

Guy: I'm just jazzed about being on the show, man.

Gwen: Look I got one job on this ship and I am going to do it!

Do you read these titles? :)

For the longest time that kinda made me mad Ha ha :lol But in recent years it's just added to the humor of the whole movie :)

I really would of prefered to hear her say: "well **** that!" It would of sounded even more hilarious!

I do the Thermian laugh on occasion too: Ah, ALALALALA!

All dropping their heads.
"Those poor poor people."

I never thought of it, but I think Galaxy Quest is one of, if not 'the' most quotable sci fi movie.

"...and I thought you were smart for a second."

"We should have just taken the job, who knows the next time he will ask us".
And they all leap out of the van.

Jason: Okay Gwen, put me back on with him.
Gwen: That's what I've been trying to tell you, Jason. You ARE back with him.
Sarris: Perhaps I am not as stupid as I am ugly, commander!
Jason: [to Gwen] I gave you the 'kill' gesture.
Gwen: No, you gave me the 'we're dead' signal. I was agreeing with you. Like I know where the 'hold' button is.

That movie is so wonderfully written, from wall to wall, it's impossible for me to pick a favorite line or two..I could go on forever quoting the film. It's not only rich in humor, but in story, satire and even drama.

There are so few sci-fi comedies out there, that I can't even come up with quotes from another that are all that worthy...I guess my second favorite sci-fi comedy (by quite a stretch, too) would be Spaceballs. It's great, but with all due respect to the tremendous Mel Brooks, it pales when compared to GQ :)
