Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!
From Roman's Facebook in case you aren't over there:
"Hey Guys,
Been busy on many levels for a couple weeks lately, but I wanted to take a few minutes to address a few issues that have come up in regards to our Graflex flash.
I'd like to go back a couple years and explain what my "dream" was...
Back in 2015 when I started this Graflex project my dream was to recreate, and bring back to life, a real working camera flash. I come from the RPF family. Which, at least back in my day, was not about FX conversions, but rather STATIC props. Static Props is what I love and who I am. It's truly in my blood.
To this day, I know very little about FX conversions and blade holders. And during my many chats with many saber fans looking for advice on FX set-ups my usual reply was 'I'm not at all an electronics guy, and am the last person that should be hooking up a battery to anything. lol'. That often was and still is my reply about any and all things FX. While I am truly amazed at what the FX community has achieved, I am still very much a padawan in this area.
So while my goal to bring a working replica flashgun back to life has been achieved. I am not able to say that my Graflex is compatible with all conversion kits or blade holders out there. This compatibility issue was not intentional or even known as some have speculated. I simply do not live in that "world". I have never even seen a blade holder in person. It's been 24 hours, since speaking with Obi-Shane, that I learned a blade holder was made of aluminum. I thought you guys found a hilt you like and then printed up a blade holder at Shapeways. This is why I thought a simple solution to the pins not lining up was to do a bit of "filing". I thought they were plastic or whatever that material is. But I digress...
I love to build props and bring wonderful display-pieces to our community. I believe I will always love this SW universe we live in, and I will always try to help improve our community when I can.
I am currently taking a crash course in blade holders and will do my best to offer a solution to those in need. This blade holder will be to help those with my Graflex and be offered below cost. I thank you for taking the time to read this and look forward to any ideas you guys may have.

Best Regards,
Roman"
Everybody needs to chill and let the people working on these projects work it out.
