Limited Run === G R A F L E X === Flashgun Gen.2 ... now taking PRE-ORDERS!!! New Pics Oct. 5

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

Which blade holder are you using? Does it fit true or is there a miss alignment

No blade holder.
I mostly collect static sabers.

I have one Force FX saber to swing around though. Lol

Sorry for the late reply.

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

The Graflex Shop is working on their own graflex replica due to be out in March.
I wonder how that one will compare against Roman's...

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

JMS ..... you made my day. :D Thanks for posting.

Just one little point i would like to correct - it´s not "the best", it´s "one of the best". I have one other replica (don´t know who made it and when) that´s in the same class. And both look nice next to my real Graflexes. That makes it the best atm available. ;)

But Romans is such a great replica for the requested money, while not "perfect" i still love it, and it gives me enough faith to hope for him doing the MPP.

I love my Roman replica. The only other one I've seen comes close over the years was made by Graflex Reborn. I have 2 3 cell bottoms that were done in stainless steel. Never did get an upper to inspect up close.

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

This is not meant for any one member but if it strikes a nerve.....well... tough crap, your feelings are literally non existent on my list of priorities.

Does anyone else notice almost everyone complaining is a complete RPF noob?? You all are clueless on how the fan driven market and prop runs in general work. Whining about making official statements and comparing this to a 2.0 is absolutely stupid. The ones really pissing and moaning have to be millennials. The ridiculous terms you all use and the disgusting entitlement you have. Not to mention the total lack of respect toward someone who's been doing this since before you were probably born. Someone who's contributed more to this hobby than your lot ever will.

I've seen it all and owned it all when it comes to the Graflex. I've owned everything from replicas that were complete garbage to a 100% mint in mint box 3 cell. Romans REPLICA is without question the best thing next to a vintage 3-cell. That's it.. period. That is an undeniable fact. Show me something better if you disagree. I dare you.

So for those of you whinny, nit picky cry babies who are acting like the world is over (basically over a blade holder), you're the ones that destroy the hobby. Instead of working on a solution you focus on the tiniest of problems like it's the end of the world and run with your misguided emotional nonsense. Keep that attitude and you will fail your entire life and be miserable to boot. You're here to CONTRIBUTE to the COMMUNITY. Not to bitch and try to run the bus over a VERY long time veteran. Not gonna happen on my watch boys. So go to Home Depot... get a ladder.... and GET OVER IT!! Work together to improve. Don't start a riot and try to lynch one of our long time veterans who was able to give you something you have never owned. Grow up people.

Can't agree more. Well said, bro.

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

He should just put on his webpage, or at least on his shop sales page that returns and refunds are not offered. And keep it there, and then I think you wouldn't hear any of the bitching and moaning that seems to upset you guys so much.

And... it would be the truth.

Then you could tell people, you were warned, go home. Proceed at your own risk, you have no one to blame but yourself. End of story.

Who are you talking about??

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

The owner of IRA, who purchased several copies of this replica, posted an email from Roman where he stated flat out that he refused to refund anyone anything. Which was useful, because he basically didn't respond to most people so the rest of us would be completely in the dark as to where he stood on the matter.

I'm simply saying, if you are going to set up a sales website, state that in advance. Be fair to your "potential" customers. State: product may vary and returns and refunds are not accepted. In other words, proceed at your own risk.

Then, I say, yeah, anyone who didn't heed the msg got what they deserved. What is so entitling about that?

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

Look kid.. It's been like one day since the "problem" has been discovered. Nobody could ever know there was a problem until release. Give them time to let them all find a solution instead of promoting a problem that the minority like you focuses on. You're clearly new to this hobby kiddo.

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

Hey, I'm not a kid. I'm going to be 44, people don't ask me for my license anymore. Don't talk down to me.

And I'm not a "young" 44 either. We're talking 150,000 miles, the piston rings are shot, there is smoke coming out the exhaust pipe, I'm consuming a quart of oil per week.

I'm going to use the same reply in a PM for this because it is the same....

"You prove my point. It's been like a day since the "problem" was discovered. You have come to a bunch of conclusions without ever even letting a solution be presented by either side. **** like this happens all the time in the prop world. It takes time...... You of all people should know this given your experience. For someone who's been at this for so long your position on the matter at this point in time is childishly naive."

This is like talking to the wall.

Yeah, I'm a noob, or at least noobish. Right?

Well, my enthusiasm towards this project was based on the rousing success of his last project, the inception, which I got in on. I don't speak for everyone, but my confidence in this project was based on the success of the last project. That's all. Have a nice day.

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

This has been in the first post for over a year.

***NOTE : Sign-up only if you are seriously interested. It's okay to change your mind BEFORE the purchase. However...

- Once time comes to make the purchase, and you actually make the purchase, please follow through on that commitment.
- Please do NOT ask for a refund. You are more than welcome to sell your flashgun once you have received it.
- If you are not sure about your financial situation... do NOT make the purchase.

Ohh man... I'm sorry you're the brick wall and you're talking to yourself.. So what was your biggest let down??

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

From Roman's Facebook in case you aren't over there:

"Hey Guys,

Been busy on many levels for a couple weeks lately, but I wanted to take a few minutes to address a few issues that have come up in regards to our Graflex flash.
I'd like to go back a couple years and explain what my "dream" was...

Back in 2015 when I started this Graflex project my dream was to recreate, and bring back to life, a real working camera flash. I come from the RPF family. Which, at least back in my day, was not about FX conversions, but rather STATIC props. Static Props is what I love and who I am. It's truly in my blood.
To this day, I know very little about FX conversions and blade holders. And during my many chats with many saber fans looking for advice on FX set-ups my usual reply was 'I'm not at all an electronics guy, and am the last person that should be hooking up a battery to anything. lol'. That often was and still is my reply about any and all things FX. While I am truly amazed at what the FX community has achieved, I am still very much a padawan in this area.

So while my goal to bring a working replica flashgun back to life has been achieved. I am not able to say that my Graflex is compatible with all conversion kits or blade holders out there. This compatibility issue was not intentional or even known as some have speculated. I simply do not live in that "world". I have never even seen a blade holder in person. It's been 24 hours, since speaking with Obi-Shane, that I learned a blade holder was made of aluminum. I thought you guys found a hilt you like and then printed up a blade holder at Shapeways. This is why I thought a simple solution to the pins not lining up was to do a bit of "filing". I thought they were plastic or whatever that material is. But I digress...

I love to build props and bring wonderful display-pieces to our community. I believe I will always love this SW universe we live in, and I will always try to help improve our community when I can. I am currently taking a crash course in blade holders and will do my best to offer a solution to those in need. This blade holder will be to help those with my Graflex and be offered below cost. I thank you for taking the time to read this and look forward to any ideas you guys may have. :)
Best Regards,
Roman"

Everybody needs to chill and let the people working on these projects work it out.

Usually a person of that age doesn't say I'm going to be (44). You're 43. And not getting carded is pretty sweet. I'm 44 and still get carded.

Early 2016 I bought my first prop from Roman although I wanted one of his sabers for years. I asked questions in advance. Maybe you should have opened a dialogue with him and asked some questions to answer your concerns before purchasing. But then again that may just be what a prudent buyer does.

You really shouldn't tell someone how to run his business.....or open your own and run it how you see fit.

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

teecrooz, you are correct. My bad. But I didn't look at this thread when I purchased. I was making a lot of purchases directly on his website at the time, apart from TheRPF.

It would have been more helpful on the website, is what I am saying. In fact, I purchased in late June, and he already had the new website, so I can't even fault him there, because his website was under construction for the most part.

So, in closing, I still think he's a nice guy. He was nice to me in conversation. Even sent me a couple of bolt nuts on the house for some greebles for a MK1. And I know I'm probably in everyone's dog house for even saying a peep, but I think what I have stated is pretty benign. I'm actually trying to be helpful.

I am keeping the replica and I purchased a vintage front end to go with it. I solved my own "problem".

- - - Updated - - -

I'm going to be 44 in three weeks. I didn't know how to word that, I should have just picked one or the other. My bad. You know, that was a first, being told I was a kiddo and a kid over something like this.

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

I've been poking around a few pages, but I can not find a price. Any help?

Re: === G R A F L E X === Flashgun ... NOW SHIPPING!!!

That's the thing about these whiners. They don't produce or create anything. They are complainers with zero experience. They**** and moan on a band wagon. They are the worst of us. They are the future greg stone and guy raz of their time.
