Limited Run === G R A F L E X === Flashgun Gen.2 ... now taking PRE-ORDERS!!! New Pics Oct. 5

No stamping would be the obvious tell and it would eliminate the need for a bottom cover plate entirely. :thumbsup

Hey Foe Hammer ! It looks like Roman has continued to include the tell in the stamping itself.

The original GRAFLEX says: "TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF."
The Romans GRAFLEX says" TRADE MARK REG. R.E. PAT. OFF."

See that "R.E." in there for Roman's Empire? It's subtle, and cheeky (which I love), but it's there.

If I ever made a run, I would make all the stamping in Aurebesh. I appreciate the desire to have an accurate prop, and all the effort replicators have gone to to make this iconic piece of history as close to the original as possible, but I still think that in this area (stamping) that it should either not be present at all (which the movies tried to hide or didn't think would ever be seen or so wildly scrutinized), or that it be "in the world of Star Wars" and be stamped in Aurebesh. It could say the exact same thing as the original GRAFLEX, or not, or whatever the replicator chooses, but with it stamped in Aurebesh it would BE Star Wars. Mine would probably say ·GRAFLEX REPLICA PRODUCED BY RIDIRE FIREAN·TOSCHE STATION TA.G12017 with TRADEMARK JEDI KNIGHTS OFF. down the center, or something like that.

I think the greatest difficulty these days is deciding which amazing lightsaber replica to buy next!

I don't think this was ever in question. As I stated he made no changes to the stamping. He included the 'semi-crimped' endcap as a tell in case someone were to drill though the 'R.E.' and try to pass it off as genuine. If the bottom were unstamped completely no 'extra' tell would be required and the crimp could be fully rolled over. Personally, I would prefer that to the way another group has done their bottoms, as a single piece stamped to look like it's rolled over.

Like you I also have an appreciation for both prop replicas AND in-universe lightsabers and enjoy having representations of both. For my in-universe version I wouldn't want any stamping be it in English, Aurebesh or any other language. I also wouldn't use any clamp or bottom covers on that version because a 'real' one obviously wouldn't.

Do these new ones come with everything like t tracks and stuff ? Also how much were the last ones from a year or so ago ? $220 or?

No. Just the flashgun.

Last year's had the same pre-order price as this one. The price steadily increased as samples came in. Same will happen with this one.

Ok. Does that conversion kit from your website 3, 5, and 7 correspond with episodes ? I have one of your gen 1 one and want all the accessories for it.

@RomansEmpire Will this gen2 be able to use TGS bladeholder? Or, will it have to use gen 1 bladeholder?

I don’t want to speak for roman, but from his posts it looks like that small 1mm tweak with the side sockets will be fixed, allowing any vintage blade holder to work

Again, we have seen all different alignment issues with vintages so in the end romans being alittle off never bothered me to begin with

Obishane just posted a great video on his Facebook on him examining all his replicas vs vintages, and it proves how inconsistent vintages can be

Hey Roman,
Maybe this has been asked in the preceding 10,000 pages :lol but.... on your site when you have pre-orders for the "battle worn and ready" completed sabers, are they the version 2's or old version? I was wondering because they are coming at about the same time as the new version.

All the Gen.1's are gone. These will be Gen.2's. :)

I'm not really sure what the spacing is on the TGS, but this tweak of a little over 1mm should do the trick. :)

I was just curious if there was a full list of the tweaks from the first gen? I see the "Notable tweaks" on the first post but with things like the bulb contact looking to be brass now not on there and just wasn't sure if there was any others? For some reason I thought the emitter shape had been tweaked as well but I might just be confusing that but was just wondering. Looks good! Looking at all these versions with there very small differences, at least to a non-expert lol. Is it still a hex head for the bunny ears?

Just spent some time on your site. I needed a button and bottom to use as a placeholder on my real graflex. Thanks for still having these. Of course, I had to keep looking at the mpp stock. It will be interesting to see if the mpp end caps fit other flashes. I may end up buying some more parts.

You have all the mpp parts with the exception of the release button. Wannawanga.com has them ,but will you offer these as well?

Would be great to know the edition size of the gen 2 for plaque purposes, garrauntee that they will sell out!

im really looking forward to seeing the improvements over what was a great quality made replica flash fun in gen1!

also hoping it arrives before Christmas with the mpp:)
