Thanks for the kind words guys....I've now made a concave base plate to the mould, so I'm going to try slush casting a silicone one (hopefully tomorrow) at the very least it'll take some of the silicone out of the base (where most of the weight is) and I might be able to get a hollow one cast (increasing transluscency).

I'll keep eveyone up to date.......hopefully a run will be ready soon....I want to make sure they're top notch before selling any.....

I got a hollow rubber one at Wonderfest a couple of years ago - it's super light, but they used pipe cleaner for the antennae (if I recall correctly), which is a little silly. It's at work (heh) so I can take a pic Monday if you want to see what the other maker did.

Ah, cool thanks....I didn't know other's had made them....I'd seen pepakura ones and knitted ones.

I love seeing original ideas. Your brain slug is perfect!. This place never ceases to blow me away with the talent. And because I think it's against the rules to discuss sales outside of the JY, can I say, definitely make 2 more!
