Fullcock Blade Runner Blaster

NO!!!!
I tried that for my first set of grips and while they came out, they were not shiny like we need them. In the video I posted showing that process in the other thread, it used corn starch to make the mold. This did not leave a smooth shiny mold. The grips were very dull.
Invest in actual mold making compound from established companies like Alumilite or Smooth On. You will get much better results.

Got some semi gloss on it today.

I wonder if the cold water and liquid detergent method of making silicone caulk molds would result in a shinier surface than the corn starch method?

No idea. Since resin is not cheap, I'm sticking to the actual mold making stuff, lol...

For other members who haven't heard. Robert, aka Robiwon, has passed away. There is a thread in the Off Topic area.

Condolences to his family and friends:( We'll miss your work and your place in the community.

What awful news to wake up to this morning. I've not been a member of the RPF long, but when I joined and started exploring Robiwon was one of people I was always happy to see a post from, not just because his work was inspirational but because he was a really nice guy. So very sorry for his loss and much sympathy to all his friends and family.
