everyone involved report him on ebay through their system if enough of you do that they will take notice also add this link so ebay knows its legit

I looked into this some time ago, and the options eBay offered were very strict, and wouldn't allow me to do it? At least as it seemed to me?

Anyone else know of a way?

It's really quite easy. Slam in a large bid in the last few seconds. Then don't pay. Wait for him to file a unpaid claim and then tell Ebay you've paid with a bank transfer. At that point ebay will close the case and hit himwith fees. If the bids go up to say 600 he'll get a 60 fee. Then a few weeks later slam in the negative feedback with a link to this thread.

Time to fight fire with fire against this thief.

Complaining to Ebay is a pointless exercise as they only care about collecting their fees.

Celtic Warrior completely gets what I'm talking about. This really is the only way to get this guy on eBay. Whining here about his eBay auctions won't change a thing. You guys have to take action.

Doesn't matter if he reads this thread. If you bid early he can cancel it but if you do it after the clock hits 20 secs he's shafted.

As long as you're ebay name is different to the name you use here when he moans to Ebay they'll ignore it. Fees come first with ebay. Hell if he owed me cash I'd buy everything he's listed.

Tom - I've had an eBay account (purely as a buyer) since 1999, with 100% feedback. As has been pointed out, eBay are outside of the transactions here. Some of you seem to think to go for Buy It Now is a good idea - I'm not as sure as you are on that.

Personally though, I think to post "don't keep complaining here" is a little harsh, especially when the problem isn't the people who have been ripped off, but Marty.

What he is pointing out is that eBay will not take any action against a buyer who does not pay. Your 100% feedback will not have any blemish and the seller cannot leave negative feedback. The only person who will feel effects of anyone buying now and not paying is the seller. If you keep him from making money, he will realize he needs to refund you to keep you from messing with all of his future sales.

And he only made the comment about complaining because so many want to cry about things and never take the necessary action to get results.

That's correct Moviefreak. People here do have an option now to get the Alien head they already paid for, so why nog grab the chance? I know Marty is causing all this, but he is obviously not planning on resolving things here (him offering his stuff on eBay now, is the best proof of that). So again: people here can complain as much as they want here on the RPF, it won't make the slightest difference, since Marty doesn't care what's being said here, and all other people here can't do anything about it.

So the ONLY thing people here can do, is actually make sure that the guy can't sell anything on eBay until all cases here are resolved. But apparantly people here rather loos hundreds of dollars, than to stand up and take action on eBay... Well, it's not my money...

If it was me I'd have bought the head, waited for it to arrive then put in a claim , send him back a box of garbage and get the refund.

That's risky, because if he makes picutres of the box with garbage, it's possible that PayPal refuses to refund...

I'd go for the "I already paid months ago, so the buy-now alien head is in fact mine, so I push the buy-now button" strategy.

The already paid is the sure fire winner. Ive had is row with a buyer and I lost my fees. I had a UK only auction and a Spanish buyer bought the item and I still lost the cash.

Nope, different number, but then he could simply have got another one or moved. Or it's not him. But given the kind of work, and the nature of what he did on those boards too... I think it's a strong possibility.

I have discovered that someone in the US was prosecuted and did jail time for what Marty's doing to us.

That's really interesting...I'm with pnag...I think it's a strong possibility we're talking about the same guy here. Very similar pattern of praise, then disappearance, then claims of sickness, and a wake of pissed off people in the aftermath. It's actually quite amazing how similar the two scenarios are (or appear to be).

Says he's in California (which is not the case anymore based on current knowledge), but he certainly could have moved. I think I started dealing with him in 2011, and he was NOT in California at that time. Those guitar boards are active prior to that. So it's certainly a possibility that he moved after the guitar stuff.
