Hey guys, I've started to build my life size SM-33. I'll post my progress in this thread to help others who want to tackle this build. Limb from limb!
This is epic already and I only saw the first pictures post so far.I started with the head. As a note, this is all 3d printed in PETG. The 3d parts are only cosmetic. Any parts that have any weight or stress on them will be aluminum.
Yup! Along with his head being motorized and talking, he will also have the little critter in his eye. The critter will be hooked into a small motorized piston, witch will be programmed to randomly pop in and out of his eye socket. Will you be making your own critter to sit in his eye too?
I use a spong (I'll post a link). You rip off peices of the sponge, dab it in silver paint and tap it around anywhere you want chipping. It's super quick and looks very natural.Your weathering is amazing. Can I ask what your method/process was for the silver in the mouth area. The spatter is so natural.
Yep, the build is already epic and thanks to your fantastic paint job, it'll be even cooler when all builtI use a spong (I'll post a link). You rip off peices of the sponge, dab it in silver paint and tap it around anywhere you want chipping. It's super quick and looks very natural.
