Four Lightsabers from Ahsoka featured at SDCC

Dan, in the last photo, the cubes look somewhat smaller (ie are protruding to a lesser extent) than the original’s I saw.
The body of the clip (activation plate) should be 2-3x thicker especially at the pinnacle of the curve that outlines the hilt body.

Under the emitter where the triple steps are located, the bottom two steps share the same height. I believe even the top step is the same height as the other two. Also, the depth of the exhibit hilt’s top step isn’t as pronounced as in your model.

The sloping band I circled below actually is longer, and is split horizontally -possibly between two different materials (aluminum /steel and the black material). The height between the two materials is the same.

Separate note for everyone: the two vertical fangs extending past the emitter are separate pieces from the emitter. They seem to be screwed into place.
Also, the emitter plate and the steps composing the lower portion of the emitter appeared to be separate pieces layered on top of each other. This part I’m less certain of.

I have more comments, but I should stop here.

thank you everyone for sharing, keep it up!

these have to be the most detailed sabers to date...

every time i look at them im blown away by the craftsmanship
I love and hate them at the same time. I love that they look like right mix of PT original sleek design, but also have the details of OT found parts. I’m just sad that they aren’t actual found parts.

That said, I feel like I see tons of inspirations froM our custom lightsaber thread. I see parts that resemble hard drive spindles, I see camera parts. I see nods to elaborate chassis designs. We have definitely influenced production builds. I’m just sad we can’t go scouring the world to recreate them.

I like the new interpretation of the Ezra saber. But, in my mind, it was always a bit more akin to OWK's ANH saber. The grenade section is there. The booster is there. The recharge port is clearly graflex inspired. The ovals could be from a MPP. The pommel isn't too dissimilar either.
I always had an idea to try to build an Ezra saber from found parts, or at least design an Ezra saber that looks like it was built at Bapty in 1972.

I remember there were some parts that appeared to be 3d printed parts that were printed in metal or painted silver. Looking closely at each saber, I was surprised by how much detail the makers loaded into each saber, including use of different materials and difficult to see steps, etc. surprisingly, the Star Wars area wasn’t nearly as crowded as one would expect.

Also, Ashoka’s model ship had a passenger who appeared to be translucent. I was speculating to a friend whether it was anakin, but we weren’t sure if that idea logically makes sense.
