Don't group me into that same people, I called Shady Boy out on trolling other forums I thought that was over the line. My concerns were the same as everyone else's. The timeline getting pushed with no updates. I understand where sellers are coming from one my best friends lives right up the street from me (Moncal) he has been a guy that will go out of his way to pull hand guards for you for free or stop what he is doing to give advice. And the community has torn him apart for long lead times. So I understand 100% where the seller is coming from and I understand where the buyer is coming from.
I jumped shipped from Anovos after pre ordering a kit at Celebration. My goal was I wanted something by TLJ Anovos still has yet to push out a single production model and they have much more people than MIMIC. I was under the impression things just needed a few fixes and it was getting ready to head out the door. In my mind I did add 6 months which is why I wasn't mad when it was gonna be in November. Got sucked into the witchhunt because yes there was no communication and there are lots of things we can all improve on.
In my mind MIMIC owned up for his short comings as a seller and addressed all my concerns props for that. I think it's time we as buyers own up to our expectations and short comings. I fully admit I was ticked I didn't have something before TLJ and I started to fear I wasn't going to get something till after Celebration 2019. Some people had put their hope in this costume being what got them in the 501st which I don't know if I would have done that on something that hasnt been proven before. I would have advised that member to go with someone casting on demand.
Back to waiting now, though I have to admit my love has gone down for this costume but that's fine I'll get it in when I get it in and if I need to sell it no biggie should be an easy turn around in hand. The Anovos kits for example go like hot cakes when people have them in hand from people that don't want to wait. No need to start name calling people that use kits and start drawing lines between true creators and those who take kits and work with those.
As a Star Wars nutcase I have to publically say I'm sorry for my immaturity and the image I left of Star Wars fans. I should have taken the example our elders on this thread has given. A polite well worded concern letter than constant whinny where is my response posts.
