Its arrogant to ask for pictures and updates?

As an investor I have every right to check on how my money is being used.

I'm quite frankly upset Mimic said he is working on the buckets when he has shown no progress on the 2nd half.

Get the armor done than work on the bucket. I dont even care about the bucket I have 2 already.

No that's rule here. If you want to take it up a notch I'll report you to the admins. I've been docked for defending mimic.

And if you want to go down that path I can certainly report it and let an admin explain it to you

I can understand about updates with pictures, what I can find disappointing at times is the sudden attitude change when things take a bit longer than usual.
Unfortunately I don't live closer to you guys that have the easy access to all the international conventions, I'd love to come over and troop and have some decent fun, i just see that it looks like some take it for granted.
I'd like this run to progress just as much as everyone here, but I'm probably just a bit more patient knowing where I'm from and things like this do take time.

I am patient. However a couple of months ago we were told that 2 sets per week would be going out as well as the second half.

Every once in a while people could use reassurance. After all, we are all in this for the long haul and the quality is amazing.

I can totally undersrand where you are coming from in relation to the run.

Whoa,

This is nice to wake up to on a Saturday morning... As ive said I’ll begin casting the 2nd wave of components as soon as the helmet is moulded, Were saving to be able to pay another member of staff for at least a few weeks again once we start to get through it.

If you want to see progress pics almost ALL of the other components are shown throughout this thread pretty much done so to suggest they haven’t been done is ridiculous - Most importantly the quality is exactly that of the parts you’ve received- we wouldn’t do it any other way.

Part of me says okay I’ll start casting the arms etc now to keep you couple of guys complaining happy but then as before that means time away from working on the next peoples in the run - and just like before that’s who suffers, the people who wait quietly, patiently and appreciate and understand the time that making armor that comes out of the box like this takes.

So, I have a plan and I’m sticking to it as it’s the fairest and most efficient and quickest way to complete the run.

As much as any of us want our armor and we want the run complete I can’t do anymore than work on it everyday, I’m casting, sculpting, moulding, trimming, flatting and polishing stormtrooper armor seven days a week... there are no more days, we are not a factory, these are not just pulls off a vac form table put into a box.

Theres always one person working on this, sometimes two... we are human, one of us at least has to take work to pay the bills and keep freelance contacts, we’ve already been kicked swiftly in the balls by this run earlier this year, more recently the industrial site where our workshop is has been chalked for demolition to make way for a housing development so that’s a stress, and even more recently still an immediate and VERY close member of our family at too young of an age has been diagnosed with a late stage cancer- but EVERY day I still spend working on building this by hand- it’s been a sh**ty year- all I ask is support, belief and patience and a little kindness from all as that helps us more than anything.

As soon as I begin casting the second half photos of the final parts will be posted without hesitation.

Guys you all have or seen MIMIC work. You've seen what he can do! You are getting the best and most movie-like set out there! Once we all have it we will all know it was worth the wait. It's annoying not to have any updates I know how we all feel but at the end of the day this is not a con and as I've said we are getting the best armour out there! Mimic is working his ass off to get us the sets! He's a man with a lot of work for too little people so just wait. Just think you could of have been with Anovos and been waiting till years for a set. The TLJ Helm has been delayed again. What we are getting is better than Anovos! Good things come to those who wait so hang on we will get the pics and then the armour should arrive by the end of the year. (my guess) I'm gonna kill time with making my Patrol trooper set! Your welcome to help out lol

No one is claiming a con or anything like that.

I got attacked for asking for a simple end of month update. Thankful I didnt go anovos for sure but sometimes I wish I went jim. Quite frankly my fears and assumptions were found out to be true.

I'm not some kind of jerk I flat out offered to pay Mimic more money so if that makes aggroant impatient a ******* or whatever you want to call me than whatever. All I asked for was a simple update and I get attacked by someone who shouldn't be speaking for mimic.

Working on a flametrooper as I wait as well.

And quality is good the best eh not so sure. I have found imperfections in my kit I didnt point out to anyone but locals because it will be hidden by the td I think.

There is also an issue at for me wearing it in my range of motion in the arms for the yoke. I dont think this set is going to be great to wear probably going to be better suited to put on the mannequin in all honesty.

So dont go shouting best kit to me it far from the best. Good pretty and sharp but not the best.

Bubbling which has me nervous. At point where there is lots of stress putting on the ab. Will be hidden but if it gets worse it spreads I'll have a wrecked piece in no time.

We’re going to hire some help again ASAP to get on with the 2nd shipment.

Sorry if other members made you feel ganged up on but they are only trying to support us and the project as a whole and If you feel the Ab plate is faulty you can return it for a repair or replacement Dustin.

As for the family issues I really don’t want them to be public as it’s just too much right now- we’re just focusing on work.

Can I offer a suggestion? Get full kits out to people on the run since last year before getting half kits out to more recent orders. A half kit is unwearable so every new order taken has slowed delivery to the first group. I think that would be fair. Otherwise it could be 6 more months before the first group has wearable costumes. Posting some numbers would be helpful too, like “2 more 1st half kits out then 12 2nd half kits out then 4 full sets” with a name list and everything. I think you’re doing great work, but it’s clear that we really have no clue when we’ll have full armor.

I love camprandall's idea. I believe there were 8 of us on the original run. It seems reasonable to expect that our armor would be completed and wearable before new additions receive their first half. I really hope to be able to troop at Celebration and this is my one and only armor. I have a bucket already so I just need the second half pieces.

Absolutely you guys will recieve first. The 2nd halves will be shipped in the same order as paid, as soon as everything’s ready to go we’ll be getting some help for a few weeks again to try and get the 2nd halves out and then once caught up full kits.

I went Jims after hearing about delays on this thread and I can say it wasn't the right choice I have literally worn my suit 4 times and I already have cracks on the abs and yoke from the pieces not being able to even support theyre own weight without flexing or cracking. Not to mention a lot more finishing.. no suit has perfect mobility and every suit has a catch to it
