Guess I need to get back to work on this project. I got frustrated with the ab enclosure. Has anyone solved issues with there ab enclousures? I'm trying magnets but they seem to want to pull apart and won't stay shut.

Still need to finish cutting my slots out and adding few pieces of Velcro. Ordered a bracket for the bells so hoping that helps. Need to be brave I suppose; what tool is everyone using to cut the slots?

For the ab, I used a few canvas strips + snaps to hold it together, but the Velcro’s thermal set supplies most of the strength.

Tomorrow I’m going to try to repaint half my ANOVOS kit so I can wear this new stuff at PCC. We’ll see how it goes.

Ok, so the results are looking really good. I'm painting my ANOVOS kit with Montana Gold Shock White PURE and the color match to MIMIC is very close. The best part is that this paint dries in an hour or two and doesn't crackle like the Rustoleum stuff. So I should be able to wear the hybrid ANOVOS/KB Props/MIMIC Executioner to Phoenix Comic Fest. :)

I took pics in direct sun and in the shade and in both cases, the color match looks very close.

That's awesome! Now myself and my 2 garrison mates wont off match Dustin's kit too badly!

Thanks man I'm debating getting a tdk tlj bucket and modding my armor to tlj down road so this helps.

Wonder if it will convince my local members to go with that color for armor so we all match too

wow this IS awesome, thank you for that, really good information and that’s a definitely an available paint in the UK too. I know they’ll probably be a couple of people at least who will want to colour match their existing armor until we get all of the other components out!

Hey.
We’re not far off moulding our TLJ helmet, also seeing as how our first attempt at the cod turned out to be oddly similar to the TLJ cod and the adjustments to the TD and spats are so basic we are still going to make each version and supply those to everyone on the run.

I just updated my post after realizing that the actual color I'm using is Montana Gold Shock White PURE, which is less yellow than Montana Gold Shock White. I had a can of each and didn't realize it and was wondering why my colors weren't matching. The PURE is a much closer match than the regular Shock White.

That's awesome to hear cause Pure is what I'm using for 3 of our kits. And Dustin and us are in the same garrison so exciting news indeed!

This is incredible news! Will make the wait that much harder. :popcorn

Great correction Clint, I have 2 cans on order now , what colour primer did you use? I know some have said that a black primer makes a difference to the finish.

I didn't actually use primer over the old paint. I just took the shine off with a scotch brite pad.
