you havent addressed anybody concerns or questions. You’re a vendor, we are customers. It’s time to start acting like it. This is precisely why us in VT have withdrawn. If yours have full sets you’ll send unfinished, we can talk. If not, then that’s that.

Well, the post has been. And it's fair to say I won't be fitting in this armour anytime soon... Gutted doesn't even cover it. I'm fed up waiting! Nearly 3 years now I've been with this project! Stop-start and more stops and starts! I never had any proof what so ever to it being shipped. I even called Parcelforce and Royal mail and they couldn't help! And Beside why is it Im the one that is contacting them!? Isn't that the sender's job? I hate being lied to and taken as a mug! Pissed off? Yeah, I think I am at the moment! Ive waited way to long and I want a set of armour ASAP. I have a buddy in Russia that's gonna start a run and he got all his Deathtrooper armour out on time! So If I make a switch it will be to him. Fed Up and frustrated. Sorry to disappoint you lot but it appears the amour never left the workshop to get to me...

Hey everyone. I’m WAAAAY late to this thread and am interested in this set. I saw the pics and almost died at how amazing the pieces were shaping up to be. So I started reading the history. I also started to watch the time tick and the discussion topics slide.

That being said, I understand completely both sides of the argument here.

On one hand, I’ve been taken a few times on the RPF and other boards by “vendors” (which are usually talented fans who can craft some amazing things) for some cash, promised certain quality based on delivery dates that come and go and waited too long with baited breath to get my piece only to be denied ye ol’ PayPal refund.

But I have also been party to runs that take freaking forever only to have people drop out because things take way longer in the real word than they do in the studios of Hollywood or the mass processing plants of China.

I have no skin in the game. I haven’t been waiting almost a year. So I FEEL the frustration. Mimic is a guy. Not a company. And yes, it is still his responsibility to act responsibly with updates and communication. Some people are better at that then others. From what I can gather here, he is looking to answer criticisms in private PMs and not publicly. And I personally don’t have an issue with that.

It has become customary for artists to be fast, cheap and amazing. Trust me, as such a person, you get two out of thee. This does not excuse the public lack of communication but it does explain how long people take to complete what is shaping up to be a suit better than the originals (which I have seen in person).

If you have the funds and the time, this is a run I believe is worth waiting for, as long as personal communications (not public) are still in effect. I also understand how frustrating this can be. As someone who waited an entire year (seriously) for an ILM model shop guy to finish something for me, with limited communication, I understand and am not defending as pong as progress is being made. And I’m NOT flaming ANYONE for their feelings AT ALL. I just know that based on the entire thread I’ve read, changes were asked for, new sculpts were made, new molds created and pieces are being created in what is a slow process. Again, not excusing no public communications but also understanding how long something like this can take when it’s not your primary job and it’s essentially a part time endeavor.

Please remember that before throwing around names and accusations.

Has anyone contacted other people who have ordered things from Mimic in the past to see if he’s reliable? From what I can see he’s still here, though sporadically, and posting at least some progress pics.

Just my two cents and I KNOW tempers are high. And I’m really sorry if I fueled the fire for some folks I’m really not trying to.

We all paid in full when Mimic said he was ready to start shipping... several months ago. Starting to think we should have used an escrow service from the beginning.

No Im staying put. See what I can sort out with MIMIC as I'm not gonna jump ship straight away. I gonna see what MIMIC can help sort out then I will know my place and what im going to do. But no im not selling my place.

And I got told his stuff came out amazing and pictures don't lie. Skill and talent isn't in question timeliness and keeping his word is.
I was so under the impression I was getting armor by end of summer I spent most of my summer budget on parts needed belt gaskets boots undersuit bucket etc. I knew it wasn't gonna be shipped till 2020 I would have went with someone else that was casting on demand
