Currently on my workbench is a 1/72nd scale model of the Forbidden Planet' Colt Vickers Quad Fission Cannon (here after - CVQFC).

I started with the Seat as WayneO (my research BloodHound) found an obscure source - matching a 1948 chair (Dannish/Modelern(?)). It's 24 inches wide - which gave us a Scale to work from.

Next is the Blast Shield that measures an exact 5 ft. square.
The finished Cannon is the ol Lunar Model version that I used as a Study Model.

The CVQFC will also be fabricated in 1/6th scale!

Thanx Karl!
Re: a Diorama - Well sorta, how about a Dozen Dioramas?
Half the FP Fans who purchased the Vac-Dome asked about "other accessories".
The Tractor & Robbie's Sled are on the drawing board as I type this!
And after seeing the ID Mosster previewed by Round 2 - I have my sculptor/friend (Tom) doing preliminary sculpts for that too.
Here's a sneak-peak of Tom's CraftWork - a 1/35th scale Giant Squid Maquette (codename Zsa Zsa), that Tom just finished for the Vulcania Volunteers.
It is meant as an accessory for Any - Large scale Nautilus Model.
'Zsa Zsa', (a pet-name that James Mason gave the G-Squid Prop) measures in at a Gigantic 29.25 inches Long! (81 ft. in 35th & 77 ft. in 32nd scale) Tom's ID Montser will stand a mere 2.75 inches tall.

I borrowed the Type-name from the FP' Blaster Rifle (& yes, I know - it's technically Not a Rifle).
Since Vickers had been fabricating Artillery pieces since the 1890s - I decided that using the same Manufacturer' name seemed like a good call.

Thanx, ixtore!
A shift in priority model projects has caused me to shelve this projectfor the time being.
It looks as though this a several other forbidden planet related projects will be back...
but with an entirely New approach. Watch for work from the RE-VISIONEERS!
