For gamers: what games would you like remade/updated?

The old NES and Sega X-men games, the NES one was horrid but it had the Chris Claremont years X-Men. Operation Horned Owl for the Playstation as the character and mech designs were by the creator of Ghost In the shell and it just begs for a 3rd person shooter style instead of on rails for a lightgun.

Looks like you completely skipped over the first portion in my post. I wasn't saying they sucked, or anything, I just always wanted a more "up to date" version to add some flavor. Hence the word "update".

Like the updated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in time? :sick

Stubbs the Zombie. Though I'm fairly certain it was released as an xbox live arcade game it would be good to see it updated or even a second one made.

I don't know if this counts according to the theme, but I'd like to see them update the Babylon 5 Starfury game and release it. It's a shame no Babylon 5 games have been made. I think JMS really missed the boat on that. We kind of sort of got it in Mass Effect's Citadel. Similar anyway.

An updated 3 stooges game based on the one from the NES. I still want a Benny Hill RPG where you play as all his characters lol. Updated 80s GI Joe games too. They were pretty good for the NES. I can't believe nobody suggested that they redo the Rocketeer game.

Day of the Tentacle is probably playable through SCUMMVM, if you want to give it a try. It's a terrific game, much like the old Monkey Island games. Same interface. For that matter, the two Indiana Jones adventure games (Last Crusade and Fate of Atlantis) would make great adaptations.

Actually, I think they did remake that one a while back.

--EDIT--

Never mind. Can't find any evidence of an official one.

I joined the boycott Sierra crowd when they cancelled that game. The Sierra forums were lit up almost as badly as the Bioware forums are right now. Although, it turned out there really wasn't a need to boycott Sierra. They didn't produce anything that was worthwhile after that.

There was a B5 combat sim that was produced by a Russian team. Not sure if you can still find it easily, but I'd figure it's gotta be out there somewhere.

like many others... X-wing vs Tie

Star Wars: Rebellion - I still play this today!

Harpoon

Roller Coaster Tycoon

Mech Commander

Rebellion was interesting, but it'd need a few changes. For starters, the damn droids and sound effects for the Imperial side. Ugh, I hated the noise they made.

Also, the 3D battles were....lackluster. Interesting concept, but lousy execution.

Galaxy at War was kind of the spiritual successor to Rebellion, but I didn't like it as much. Not a fan of RTS gaming, usually.

Never heard of Galaxy at War... hmm I'll have to look it up.

All the stuff mentioned is completely true. Also the AI. once you reached a certain point in the game the AI just went into retreat mode and the game was mostly over, even though you had to play another 500 days to finish them off.

But fior a game that I think came out in 1995, still really good IMHO.

Star Terk: Birth of the Federation is stil on my play list as well

So many awesome suggestions so far, I'd definitely love some new Shining Force games, using the SF 1 & 2 format.

I'd also really like to see an HD release of Grim Fandango. I have so many fond memories playing through that one in 7th grade, it was an absolute blast.

And how about a proper Flashback sequel? Maybe keeping the 2d formula? I really hated how clunky and slow Fade to Black was.

Blazing Dragons, Disc World 1 & 2 with Eric Idle back as Rincewind. How about the NES Star Trek original series game?

Oooooh, and a sequel to the Sega CD classic, SNATCHER. It was essentially a rip-off of Blade Runner, and it kicked ass.
