Hey hannay07, the bio's are starting to flow a little more smoothly so if I can get caught up on my commitments I will be tinkering on some dreads which I have already started while I continue thinking about how I would do a backpack. It is stil a ways off and I need to put a lot of thinking into the how and what I would make so I have to start now. The bio was my first project, the dreads are my second and the BP would be the third. Lord willing. I have already put a lot of thinking into the dreads and have the materials I need for them so time to give it a try. I hope to be updating my "White Carrot" thread soon. We shall see...I may be successful with them or I could fall flat on my face...hannay07 said:

Not epoxy paint Steve (it comes in 1 part ready to spray), and to be honest I'm not 100% sure, as it doesn't say on the can I got. I do know that it's considered a "universal base" in that it can be used with and is compatible with either lacquers, or enamels (urethane or acrylic). I did some research before I bought it and discovered some pretty cool things that they do with their paint systems. For example, I wasn't thrilled with how bright and shiny the first coat came out, so I was able to lay a base coat of gloss black enamel over the first coat, and misted the silver on top of it while it was still wet. The result is a super "shiny" almost gunmetal finish, that's pretty dark, but retains it's bright silver metallic shine. I'm super happy with it at this point, and will clear coat it tomorrow. As I think I mentioned before, this one is gonna be a clean, "never been in battle" finish, because I can't bring myself to cover up the fine details you put into this bio. I hope to have some finished pics by the weekend, but I want to do a 2000 grit wet sand and get some wax on it before doing so. I'm in awe of this bio Steve, it will be the centerpiece of my growing bio collection!BonzRus said:
