Holy crap that looks great! I'm loving what you've done...just superb work.
Hey Sean, Bonzolicious? Yeah, that kinda' sounds like a Willy Wonka kind of word...maybe like srumpdiliumptious...or was that Chitty Chitty Bang, Bang. I don't remember..anyway thanks!sulaco1967 said:Its gorgeous Steve or should I say Willy...the super Bonzolicious Bio.lol..
Thanks Ricky, yes it may be a good time for that.REYALS said:...That's all I got. Can't describe what I am feeling about this. Now I really want to get that project done just to see... well, you know what I mean.
Simply excellent brother. E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T!!!!!!![]()
Thanks for the compliment! Purchased and painted or created, I still love the wall....very cool.JehdinThwei said:Yeah, but I purchased mine and painted them. You created a work of art, sir!!
Jeff, I am glad my paint-up has a motivational factor to it. I would love to see Topknot finished with all its awesome accessories. Keep it going and glad to hear your motors came in. I am looking forward to seeing the spear completed...you are so close.alphatech686 said:Steve, you're making me head to the garage right now. The paint looks great, hell it all looks great. You are an inspiration. I really am liking the laser movement option. That is some good ****. Hey, my motors are out for delivery today so I will be back on that soon. Thanks for all the updates.
Thanks so much kind sir! Your bio paint-ups are a cut above so thanks for the complement.Hippie said:I cant say any more than others have said.
To get here from where you started simply amazes me.
I mean...Hell... Just look at it!
Incrediible talent.
Hey hannay07, thank you. The painting technique was really fun to do and it is amazing and with all the different colors used it actually looks different in color in different kinds of light.hannay07 said:WOW!!! Absolutely stunning! Great great great.
Thanks Jason...thank you for the awesome video tutorials for how to paint a bio. The technique works very well and is relatively easy to do. I like how it has turned out for my first attempt.PredatrHuntr said:![]()

Yeah Ricky, I may not be able to prevent recasting from happening but I can make it easier to identify any knock-offs that may appear for what it's worth and it adds an additional level of professionalism to what I do.REYALS said:Now that is making sure the work you produce is yours and only yours. A serial number and a C.O.A., wow!
this is going to have to have a mirror behind it to display for sure---BonzRus said:Thank you Jeff, I have always kinda' had an eye for symetry so I do strive for it...no it is not perfect but that is the nature of it and that is fine.
Bryan, I have thought about numerous ways to display it but only one intrigues me enough to want to give it a try and it would still potentially block some of the interior detail. Maybe not enough to be a problem but I need to think more on that one.
Thanks Jason. All it really does is tie a document to a piece to verify that I made it. Anyone can buy the same labels I did but the numbers would not match my records so it is just another level of verification to help identify what I produce. Maybe it is overkill but this thing has in many respects turned into more than I even thought initially so I want to do it right.PredatrHuntr said:You just took it one step higher by adding that personal touch - I'm again impressed!
Thank you very much again Clay and don't worry, you are already on the list. To mount this thing I have thought about casting a predator hand holding it as though it were looking at it from the front (or from the back) such that the lower nose of the helmet could just rest in the hand and fingers. The arm could be attached to a nice beveled edge mirror either as a wall mount or a table mount. Still trying to work out the mechanicals of such.eaglewood said:Steve,
I cannot say enough about the professionalism of this build. Now you have taken it to such another level with the serial numbers and COA!!!
My friend, you have in no doubt established yourself among the ICONS of the prop making and sculpting world with this build. Again, congrats and make darned sure I am on the list for one of these pieces-- I want a LOW number!!! God Bless my friend.
Hey Jason, you snuck in on me while I was replying to the previous posts... I am hoping there just might be another rung or two I can add as well so stay tuned...Double H said:Just when you think that there is no way you can climb the ladder anymore, you find another rung and take it to the next level. This is beyond impressive work my friend!
I am glad you like the idea...I will do more to investigate how to make it happen.Double H said:That sounds like a great idea with the hand holding the bio that way allowing a 360 view of the bio and also allows it to become a ornament for a table etc I like it I better be on that list somewhere or I will be teleporting my ass over there and adding my name myself lol
I am full of all kinds of twists and turns...wonko said:Jason's right, the hand idea is a good one. Now, I'm trying to wrap my head around what "another rung or two I can add as well" could possibly mean. I can't imagine what more you could add to this piece to make it any better (although I'm sure you have something planned). Seriously, one of the best parts of this thread is the twists and turns it takes, and never knowing exactly what is around the next corner. I know of nothing that could possibly add more to this, but I'm sure whatever you have planned will live up to the reputation you have earned yourself here. I've already come up with a way to display mine when I get it (you already know I'm on the list), but your way sounds intriguing. Might just have to get 2.
Brian
Thank you very much George! I really appreciate it. I actually already have the masters because the original pieces I made from foam, fiberglass and plastic ARE my masters so I am ahead of the curve in that respect. They will be going into a Rubbermaid tub and up on a shelf for safe keeping. I know that molds don't last forever so that was one perk of the way I made the master plugs in that I do not have to create a master unless I just want to have a backup. Tonight I hope to get the lenses installed so tomorrow I should have some more shots of it to put up. Thanks again for the compliments.ptgreek said:AMAZING! ..make a master copy of that Bio..there is NO way you want that fantastic piece to end when the mold goes. Although your mold is beautiful and I suspect will last long time if treated properly and cast careful. Again ..im blown away by the quality and love that went into this Bio
WOW! These are all great! Thanks for sharing them...lots of good ideas. I like the concept of the facehugger...I will have to give it some thought. Thanks!Okami-Skullcrusher said:So bio-stand is next?
Here are some "old" stands:
- The AVP-one looks for me like ADI just turned a car-engine upside down.
- Love P2 and all the gadgets, but that hand holding the Hollywood Col. smart-disc looks goofy for me
A facehugger grabing the bio would look awesome as stand. Something organic as opposite to the metalic bio.
Thanks for the compliments and suggestions on a display stand. I could see a facehugger potentially beeing a fair amount of work but it could be very cool if I could pull it off.Bronson said:Great work Steve, congratulations on getting this done,I was thinking of a facehugger last year when I got my 1st bio from paul,I had the idea of either the tail holding the bio over the top of the huggers head or the hugger grabbing it in some way,but money is going on my paintball atm and holiday for the wife ;-),don't forget the glass cabinet tho Steve lol
Howdy Wakenvape! Starting with the foam was just a different way of doing it and for me it turned out well. Thank you for the compliments.Wakenvape said:Yea man. Fantastic job. I have two I have don't out of resin and bondo. But it's tough to get really smooth. Very innovative.
