WoW!!!! With only 52 days left till Halloween, I had better get working! I love the Radio Shack speaker idea! I was thinking of putting a usb fan in the back where you put your "walking" speaker. I may have to re-think it!

Did you create the repulsor sound yourself, or did you find a file somewhere? I've been trying to find a good quality repulsor sound without the actual sound of it firing. I'm going to be doing something very similar, but with one of the 200s 5-button units.

I pieced mine together from clips on YouTube. Mine plays the chirping arming sound, then about 15 seconds of an overload sound like it's building up to firing. People loved it because they would hear it when we would pose for a pic.

So I've examined the suit after its first adventure and being worn for 7 hours straight. Not too bad!
The feet being foam are showing a bit of wear, but they are foam after all and get the most beating. The "over hang" on the sides that look like fake tread wore away a little, but that's ok since it can only wear down so much. And the very front shows a little wear, from where I would tap a cement curb to find it given somewhat limited vision. But again, nothing a little more paint can't fix.
The palms and palm lights need re-glued, but I suspected that would be a need since I did hot glue directly onto leather. But, not a biggie.
A couple small spots of gold wore off on the biceps, leaving red. I think from where the shoulder pieces move around. But I'm not worried of that either and won't repair. Gold is known to be slightly thinner, and the worse that can happen if it wears off is for red, aluminum or black to be showing.
But nothing broke, fell off or came lose, so I call it a success! I've been invited back to the Con next year, a photographer wants to take pics of me for free promos, and a comic shop wants an Iron Man appearance! I'm thinking of invading Best Buy at their midnight release of The Avengers dvd .

Thanks Brady, that file is really nicely done. Shame alot of the bass will be lost with little speakers

Hey bradester. Can you expound a little additional detail on the walking sounds with the boom cube? Does it only play sounds when you walk with the accelerometer ?

Yup! I have a free app called Pocket Farts loaded to my iPhone and plugged into the Boom Cube, the iPhone being velcroed into the suit and put on Airplane Mode and set so it never Locks. When it detects movement it plays one of my input walking/gear/Jarvis sounds at random. Pocket Farts is quite basic and has a few issues and limitations, to which I am working with somebody on making something better, but it gets the job done for now.

Great tip. I'll check out the app. Let us know if you come up with a better solution. Do you have the sound files or where/how did you get them?
